Cats: the absolute joy of my life
Pet care experience
Every cat is special, every cat is perfect. This is what I've learned living with cats my whole life, and working with them professionally since 2012. I have been a cat caregiver at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, a veterinary nurse at ACCT Philadelphia, and a feline specialty veterinary nurse at America's largest no-kill sanctuary: Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. Currently I work as a veterinary receptionist for The Pet Mechanic. In my spare time I'm almost always cuddling and playing with my 5 rescue cats, and one of my favorite things to do is find new ways to enrich their lives and entertain them. I get up early most days, so I would love to drop in and visit with your feline babies on my way to work, or host them for a stay in a completely separate cat guest room. Because of my work experience I'm happy to look after cats that need medications in tablet, liquid, or subcutaneous injectable form, or any other special care like fluids or eyedrops. Contact me directly for availability - I'm always free on Sundays and after 8pm, but my schedule outside these times does tend to change a little from week to week.

Bronwyn is not only an excellent cat sitter she is also an active , compassionate and experienced advocate for cats. My initial encounter with Bronwyn was thru her volunteering with Best Friends rescue. Bronwyn answered my call for help and gave freely many hours and days of her time to help me tnr cats in great need. Because of her efforts many cats are living healthier and safer lives. Now whenever I have to leave town for a few days I know I can rely on Bronwyn to take good care of both my indoor cats and my colony cats. Bronwyn is the best.
I travel often and having Bronwyn as a neighbor has been a blessing! I've witnessed her care for the stray cats throughout our neighborhood- making sure they're healthy and up to date on their shots, as well as fostering several to prepare for adoption. I immediately trusted her to look after my own cat, Wiz. Bronwyn is reliable and extremely caring towards all animals. She consistently updates me on Wiz while I'm away, including photos (which every pet parent appreciates!) I highly recommend Bronwyn as a pet sitter!

I definitely want to know if the cat has any chronic conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions; if there is anything they are especially afraid of; and if they have any bad habits that could affect their safety such as chewing wires or swallowing rubber bands. I am comfortable with all breeds of cats, and I have specific experience caring for Bengals as I have fostered them through work in the past.
A typical day
First and foremost, I know all cats have different preferences, so every cat's boundaries will be respected at all times. Shy kitties or feisty kitties will have lots of personal space if that's what they need, snugglers and velcro cats will have all the chin scratches and cuddles they desire, and wild felines will have playtime with their favorite toys as long as they want. My own cats are big fans of "cat TV" on Youtube (bird and squirrel videos), so that's a strong possibility too. Cats boarding with me will be kept 100% separate from my own cats at all times for their comfort.
