Pet care experience
I have had animals my whole life, particularly cats and dogs. I am comfortable working with medium and large breed dogs, high energy pets, and animals that are seniors and/or need medication. I have helped family and neighbors care for their fur babies and would love the opportunity to help others. I specialize in caring for senior/special needs pets. I had two cats with varying degrees of kidney disease. Both had special diets, which required constant monitoring. They made frequent messes so I'm not grossed out or afraid to clean up pet accidents. I'm happy to help any animals that need some extra care.
Reviews
Brittni is great! She gives lots of love, structured play, and reinforces the training we have been working on. She is the sweetest person and it is obvious she adores all animals. We will continue using Brittni for boarding and daycare!
Brittni is such an animal lover. She is very conscientious about their needs, their temperament and who they interact with. She is reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. It is apparent when you see her interact with your animal that’s it’s not just a business it’s her love.

Meet and greets are highly recommend for all services to make sure owners, sitter, and animals feel comfortable with one another. Dog Boarding/Day Care: I have a large fenced yard and two energetic and playful pups that would enjoy having some friends to hang out with. I have a separate dog run that can be used if a dog wants some private space from the other pups. I have lots of toys to keep them entertained and a plastic pool for summer fun. Dogs should be crate trained so if I leave for an errand they can be safe in my house (exceptions are considered. Please reach out for more details). The home is adequately air conditioned and heated for each season as necessary. Dogs must be okay around cats as they may interact with them when they are in the house (exceptions are considered for short stays. Please reach out for more details). Dogs MUST be okay around children as I have a toddler (though the child will never be alone with the dog). Dog Walking: We can walk around the neighborhood or go to a park. I will NEVER go to a dog park. I will only bring my dogs along for a walk if approved by the owner. Cat Boarding: Cats will have an option between staying alone in the spare room or hanging out with my cats in the rest of the house. For cats that prefer privacy, I would provide a bed, toys, and litter box in the spare room. I would ensure that their kennel is kept in the room so they are around familiar scents. If cats prefer the company of others, they would have access to the rest of the house which includes a tall cat tree, scratchers, more toys, boxes, a couple beds, furniture, multiple litter boxes, and, of course, playmates. Cats that stay outside the spare room must be okay with dogs. *All animals (including cats) that enter my home must be up-to-date on vaccines, especially rabies, and be treated for fleas/ticks (as a precaution). Flea/tick treatments required March-October. Drop Ins: I'm happy to stay for as short or long as needed to take care of the pet (feed, water, potty break, scoop litter box, administer medicine, etc.) and give them attention.

Information Brittni P. would like to know about your pet
All Animals: I need to know if the animals are vaccinated and what flea/tick meds they have (for preventative purposes. Flea/tick meds are required Mar-Oct). If you have questions about this part please reach out. I also need to know of any food allergies. Dogs: I need to know of any behavioral issues, especially since we may go on walks at a park. For instance, does the dog react to seeing a small dog? I have breed experience with Labs, GSDs, Huskies, Shelties, Munchkins, Rottweilers, and of course mixed breeds. I understand their temperaments, but if your dog has behaviors outside the standard please let me know. I'm also comfortable working with senior dogs and ones that need medicine (except injections).
A typical day
Dog Boarding/Day Care: Dogs will have access to a large yard to play in that includes various toys and a mini pool to enjoy in the summer. Of course they will have all the playtime they want with my energetic pups. Inside will be used for snack/treat/food time, some toy chewing, and naps. We will go on walks to a park near my house and may go on "field trips" to parks farther from my home so our days aren't so monotonous. I will use the techniques I've learned from my dogs' training to help pups that stay with us. This will include basic commands like sit, stay, place and during walks how to stay near the group and not react to other dogs/distractions. Dog Walking: I love to go to parks so if approved by the owner, I would take the dog to the nearest park for a long walk (will adjust length based on energy level, age, and owner/animal preference). I will NEVER go to a dog park. I may have a stroller or my dogs along for the walk if approved by the owner. Cat Boarding: Cats will have access to a tall cat tree, numerous toys, scratcher, and a multitude of areas to sleep. They can run around the house with my cats or chill in the spare room (depending on owner/cat preference). If staying outside the spare room, they will need to be okay around dogs. Drop Ins: Besides potty breaks for dogs and checking on food/water levels, I like to give pets or snuggles to the animals. I will also spend plenty of time playing with them. If animals prefer not to be bothered though, I will leave them be.

Availability
I am available most weekends and holidays to care for your pet. Dogs staying at my house get potty breaks as often as possible. We do not have a doggie door since we have indoor cats so they will need to learn how to indicate at the back door (they'll get it with practice). There will be lots of playtime and naps for both dogs and cats throughout the day. Dog walks will take place when the weather is decent (not too hot or cold) and typically in the afternoon/evening. If I go out for errands, dogs are expected to stay in a crate (exceptions are considered. Please reach out for more details). Any animal that stays with us will be treated like family.
