I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, but growing up, my family raised Rottweilers on our farm, so I have always had a special place in my heart for large dogs. Until a few years ago when I moved to Seattle from the Midwest, I've always had a dog or two, ranging from Rotts to mixed breeds to Giant Alaskan Malamutes, but unfortunately for the past few years I have lived in a space a bit small for a big beautiful dog of my own. In April of 2016, my roommate at the time began house-sitting for Rover, and I quickly became a willing assistant. My roommate soon suggested that I use Rover myself as a way to not only to help prepare myself for my own future furry friend, but to share the love I have to give in the meantime. I couldn't agree more! I work full time (8-5 M-F) but my workplace is dog-friendly, so I would be happy to take your dog to work with me if they are used to going to work with you or if they need special care. Also, my lunch time is flexible, so I available for midday visits. My nights and weekends are mostly free so I'd normally be at home giving your doggy a puppy massage or playing tug'o'war until the sun goes down. I live a short walk from a dog park so a quick jaunt or a long play is always in order. Also, if your dog likes to run (and doesn't mind my slow pace) I'd love to take them out for a mile or two (I sadly max out at 5). I used to own a Rott who had seizures and was on daily medication, and sat for a couple of dogs who took glucosamine for their joints so I've had experience administering oral medication and if your pet has any special needs, I'm happy to learn and would love to take your instruction.
