Highly experienced 5 star sitters

Pet care experience

** Current status - Our calendar does not reflect any available dates, however, we are still getting a lot of requests. In an effort to save you some trouble - we are NOT accepting new sits at this time, and only working with repeat clients. I will make sure to edit this if anything changes! Thank you, and best of luck in finding the perfect sitter for your pup!** Hi there! My husband Seaton and I are getting our pet “fix” when we can by borrowing other people’s pets, until we are ready to bring home a rescue dog of our own! But more than that, I know that finding the right sitter and knowing your fur-kids are well taken care of can be SO nerve-wracking. I’ve experienced first hand how hard it can be to find a great sitter you can trust to truly care for your animals the way you would - We are those sitters! We have extensive experience both with dogs and cats as well as caring for homes - as we’ve owned all three.:) I volunteer in animal rescue, and we believe every dog (or cat) deserves love, snuggles when they want them, and a comfortable & low stress environment - which often means their own home, or the home of a sitter - as opposed to a boarding kennel. For some pets, boarding is a great time. But for many, boarding is incredibly stressful - and even if your pet is easy going, it's hard to know if they'll get as much personal attention as you may want - which is why we love providing the option to have your dog stay with us or we come to you! We only take one dog (or pair from the same household) at a time, so if your dog prefers bipeds to fur-friends, we can promise a safe solo sit. I have a flexible work schedule and work from home, so your dog or cat won’t have to spend much time alone or wait long for potty breaks (plus there’s more time for walks or trips to the park). Because of my time in animal rescue, I have worked with and trained a wide array of breeds and behavioral/temperament types, and Seaton and I have also fostered multiple dogs together - helping prepare them for success in an adoptive home. There’s not much we can’t handle when it comes to special or specific behavior. I have completed 30+ sits with another site with a perfect 5 star rating, as well as many, many sits for clients off this site. If you have a long term (20 day+) house/pet sit that you need, I would be happy to provide a custom discounted rate based on your situation.

Zumi had the BEST stay with Brittany. Our energetic Aussie mix is definitely not low maintenance and also has a lot of strict food allergies. Brittany took great care of her and sent regular updates, which made the whole experience so much less stressful.

Brittany was a fantastic sitter for our dog Jackson while we were away for over a week. Her love for dogs is evident and we appreciated what an experienced sitter she is. Gave us so much peace of mind knowing our boy was in her capable hands!

Brittany is amazing!! You can tell she really cares about animals. We brought Mona for a weekend stay at her house and Mona was right at home. Brittany even had an extra dog bed and food bowls! She was very accommodating as Mona has hip dysplasia and hasn't been moving around to well. Can't wait to use Brittany again!!

Safety, trust & environment

We live in a rambler with a fully fenced backyard. There is one step up the front porch, but also a ramp in the back, off the deck, for smaller or older pups. Some pups love that backyard space, others are more suited for leashed walks - we take it case by case. We typically allow dogs on the couch or bed, wherever they want to be, unless owners prefer for training purposes to keep certain things off limits. We are always certain to be aware of allergies or specific behavioral notes, so each pup is getting just what they need!

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Brittany E. would like to know about your pet

While we don’t have breed preferences or restrictions, rescue pups are a soft spot - though we are happy to sit nearly any (spayed or neutered) pup! We can handle dogs of all sizes an temperament types - please be as detailed and up front as you can if your dog has behavioral considerations we should be aware of! Information is key here, and we won't say no to a sit if there's behavioral challenges, but it will make it better (and safer!) for everyone if we know about them ahead of time. If your pet is over 9-12 months of age and not spayed or neutered, we are not the sitters for you, as I do not believe there is any merit in backyard breeding - as well as there being health and behavioral pitfalls to not fixing your pets at a vet recommended timeline.

A typical day

Walks, fetch, snuggles! Continuing your training, and dog parks if you or your pup would like. :) We tend to make trips here & there to Mud Bay for fun chewies, if cleared by you of course.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs
No females in heat
Takes only 1 client at a time

Availability

I work from home most of the time, with a flexible schedule. So for pets who prefer not to be left alone, I have the option easily to be home the whole day. For engagements outside of work, we don’t leave pets alone more than 4-6 hours at any time or combined through a single day - less if there’s separation anxiety, specific needs, or crating involved.
