Pet care experience
Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I am a dog mom of 4 living in Patchogue, NY. I grew up with big dogs and have small dogs of my own now. I work in the pet care industry specific to puppies but have also worked in an animal hospital working with pets of all sizes and ages. But most of my knowledge truly comes from caring for my own babies who are my world and my clients who I love dearly! My dogs at home now are Griffin (a 5 year old papillon), Marley (a 9 year old maltipoo), Winnie (a 3 year old Pomapoo) and Shadow (a 3 year old Pomapoo/Yorkie). I have lots of experience with puppies and picky eaters. If you are nervous about leaving your baby with a sitter or want someone you can check in with constantly, I am the same way! I’m happy to leave you be while you’re away or send you constant updates - what ever will make you comfortable. The goal of a stay with me is that both you and your baby are feeling happy and comfortable.

While I do prefer crate trained dogs, I do have clients who do not use a crate and I will give a free room to as long as they are housebroken. My furry guests get the guest room- located on the first floor of my home but separate from my pets. I have 30” and 36” crates available, the room has a twin bed and I provide a dog bed. I can also provide wee wee pads for pad trained dogs. My dogs are crated when I am at work and overnight but I will socialize them with your pet when I am home and supervising. I have a fenced yard on an acre of property - plenty of room to run! However, I prefer to use a leash and collar and walk your dog while they’re still getting to know me. My regular clients I will let off leash because I know they will respond to my commands. The better trained your dog is the more freedom I can give him or her!

If a pet is staying with me they must be dog friendly and I do prefer they are in a crate when I am not home for their safety. For the safety of the pet I do not leave them loose in my home when unsupervised so if your pet cannot be crated they will be left in the guest room with the door shut and a doggie camera I can check on them with!
A typical day
I mainly like to walk dogs in my backyard so we can stay in a safe controlled environment. We do have wee wee pads at home for those who prefer to stay inside. We are all big cuddlers at home and spend most nights on the couch watching tv! My dogs are allowed on the furniture and your babies will be too if that is what you would like! If there is a certain activity your dog looks forward to please let me know so I can accommodate.

Availability
Someone is always home in our house! I work weekdays 1-7, weekends 11-7, and my fiancé works overnights 3 days a week. I prefer drop offs and pick ups when I am home, but I can be flexible and have my fiancé help out who also has pet care experience. We are up in the morning by 9 am and go to sleep late, after midnight. We can keep you pup on whatever schedule you would like!
