Pet care experience
I am a birth and postpartum doula :) I work with a lot of pets!! I jump into their lives in the middle of a family transformation, when their mamas stop giving them attention, a new crying "thing" has arrived, I sleep on their couch - how audacious of me!, and no one is sleeping right. All pets bond well with me and eventually are happy to share their couch, and snuggles, with me. Experience: I grew up on a small farm and have had a dog my whole life. I have worked with all kinds of animals, especially dogs, cats, and chickens. I have been the go-to house/pet sitter for friends and family since I was in my youth. I adopted a tough outdoor Rottweiler/Mastiff from a farm down the road a few years ago. I taught her how to walk on a leash, to sit/stay, how to eat food from my hand, and how to prepare her "human" food, including a raw diet. This was all no easy feat! She decided she liked the farm best and now is a pillow princess inside with the kids :)

Brittany did a wonderful job watching my cat! She sent me pictures of the cat and they were having a wonderful time! I would highly recommend Brittany for watching your fur baby!
Brittany is a terrific pet sitter! I have a dog, 2 rabbits, and a bearded dragon and Brittany took great care of all of them. She stayed overnight for a week while I went on vacation and she sent me lots of photos and updates. My dog has food supplements and is scared of storms but he absolutely loves Brittany and feels comfortable with her so I knew I didn’t need to worry while I was away. During walks, she would run into my dog’s neighborhood friends and was always friendly with the owners and let the dogs play. The bunnies needed special handling and Brittany was able to pet and brush and play with them just fine. I would highly recommend Brittany for her professionalism, love for all creatures, and adaptability.

I have the ability to do just about anything with your pet! My doula skills have trained me to listen to your needs and support you however you ask. I don't bring an agenda or bias. I can play with your pet, I have a a vehicle that I can take them to the park or for a nature walk, I can also chill inside with them. I can crate your pet or have them sleep with me. I can make their food or pick some up if we run out. I have worked with pets who ask to be let outside, who are on schedules, who have doggie/kitty doors, and who use inside spaces for relieving themselves. Whatever your situation, I'm happy to help.
Information Brittany M. would like to know about your pet
I have a hard time with doggos who have serious separation anxiety challenges, as I have a unpredictable schedule. I don't think it helps them feel comfortable ? Please tell me all the sneaky things your pet might do so I can be predictive and help them not get "in to trouble."
A typical day
I love going for walks in the woods or to the dog park! I also love to do photo shoots if your pet is willing :) I would like to learn some fly ball activities, if you are practicing that :)

Availability
My work demands a flexible unpredictable schedule. I typically work overnight (8hrs) 1-3 nights per week. I arrive home about 6/7am and sleep during the morning hours on those days. Otherwise I have a normal schedule and lots of time at home. Sometimes I take a 4hr shift during the day and am away. I do support women in labor and birth. I work with a partner so I am not always the person on call. If I need to attend a birth and expect to be gone for more than 8hrs, I have a back up sitter who can step in for me to check on your pet(s).
