Happy Tails in our Happy Home

Pet care experience

I am looking for part-time pet care opportunities to take place at your home, including dog walking. I am a healthcare worker but I am between jobs at the present time as we are getting ready to move cross country! I am an experienced Rover animal boarder, at my previous home I cared for many animals over a several year period. During that time I built meaningful relationships with many clients who trusted me with their fur babies time and time again. As my living arrangement has shifted, I am no longer offering boarding at my home. You tell me how you want your dog or cat to be cared for, and I'll get it done. I generally recommend 2-3 meals per day, but if your pet requires a different meal plan or special dietary needs, let me know! I also will get in 1-2 long walks per day (complete with playtime and socialization time, if your dog is okay with other dogs) with shorter walks/potty breaks as needed (every few hours). If your dog has a favorite toy, ball or frisbee he or she is welcome to bring it along for playtime. Lots of love care and attention is to be given at all times. After all, dogs and cats are man's best friend and they deserve it! I know that pets are family, so I know it's important to provide thorough and attentive care to your cat or dog. I have been living with animals (including several dogs and cats) since I was 12 years old and I learned a lot from watching my mother train and care for our dogs when I was younger. As an adult, I've had a few pets of my own and have dog-sitted for many friends and family (everyone knows how much I love animals). I am ready to work with you to determine and provide the type of care your dog or cat requires. I'm ready to give your pups and kitties some quality care as well as some company while you're away. The poodle you see in many of my photos is my dog Jena, who passed away 6 years ago. Jena gave me a very solid foundation on lessons in dog care. For the 15 wonderful years that she was in my care, she was the most well-cared for dog on the block! She was always clean, well fed, well exercised, and as healthy as possible. Unfortunately, Jena came with some health problems when we adopted her, but it helped me to learn very early on how to care for a high maintenance dog, as I had to maintain her medication, diet, daily schedule, veterinary visits, and general hygiene throughout her life, as well as practice sensitivity toward her very gentle and meek personality. As such, she was a very happy dog and lived a full life. I have also had many pets that were far less "high maintenance," than Jena, so you might say I have experiences on both ends of the spectrum, and all that is in between. The cats you see in photos are our 2 black&whites: Oliver (16 yo) and Kiki (9 mo) and our beautiful black cat Adelaide (1 yo). They are just a few of the cats that have shaped my strong relationship with felines. **Please be sure to check out our full list of services! - Please note that our rates have recently changed**

Great communication and easy to deal with. My dog was comfortable enough to snooze through her evening with them.

Brittany's home is Finny's 'home away from home'! He stays with her frequently while I travel and it is worry-free for me. I highly recommend her! (I have used Rover.com in multiple cities for almost 4 years. Brittany is a great option for canine care.)

A typical day

Walks will always be patient walks, allowing your dog to take in the outdoors as well as do their business comfortably. I will bring water for all dogs to make sure they stay hydrated in this heat. If I’m to be with your pet between walks, they will be fed according to the meal schedule you give me and will be provided with plenty of love, care and play until their wagging tail greets your return.
