Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Brittany and I love ALL animals, but especially dogs! My best friend was my dog Cocoa, a 15 year old heeler and shepherd mix who was with me since she was 6 weeks old, so I've had a lot of experience with taking care of dogs. I have a soft spot for senior fur babies, but I love all ages and breeds. I worked at a Petco for a few years nearly a decade ago and did dog training courses during my time there. Because my pup had dementia and had been taking a few medications over the last few years for various things, I am knowledgeable in providing care for special needs dogs and ways to get them to take their medications.

Brittany did a terrific job taking care of our dog when we went out of town. Our border collie gets anxious when we leave if he doesn't get enough activity and attention, and it was clear when we returned that Brittany had given him plenty of both. Highly recommend.

Their personality for sure. If they're more timid, or high energy and playful. Where they prefer pets and activities they prefer. PLEASE be transparent about any kind of known aggression, whether it is leash reactivity with other dogs, food aggression or they're very defensive of people entering their home. I'd still consider working with dogs with those issues as long as I know and can be around them a bit so they know me better before I'm entering their homes alone.
A typical day
I enjoy running back and forth with dogs to burn off energy for both of us, playing fetch, going hiking or swimming or even just casual walks. Hide and seek, watching tv with lots of belly rubs and ear scratches during.

Availability
I work mon-fri and am usually off by 4pm, occasionally 6pm. I have weekends off, but would prefer a little more notice on those days as I usually make plans to go out exploring if I'm not going to be sitting.
