It's more than a walk!

Pet care experience

I am a long time lover of dogs. I've grown up around them, and I currently have three myself. In the last 5 years, after owning and fostering many reactive dogs and assisting to help them- I fell IN LOVE with working with dogs on a serious level. I am currently studying to become a dog trainer and am passionate about helping pet parents achieve the relationship and life they dream of with their companions. I subscribe to the principals outlined by the IAABC for professional trainers and positive reinforcement is my bread and butter. When you book a service (whether that be dog walking, or drop ins) I will discuss with you any behavioral or training goals you might have and weave that into my time with your dogs. I will take the time with you to discuss how your dog is progressing and provide feedback on any behavioral issues after a training session. I will also show you techniques and simple things you can do to improve your relationship with your canine companion! As a handler I am involved in a number of dog sports. My dogs are currently involved in agility, nosework, and herding.

Brittany was fantastic! She was prompt, communicative and attentive to our pups. It’s clear that she enjoys working with dogs, and I feel so comfortable knowing she is taking care of ours.

Brittany was AMAZING with Maggie and we were thrilled to learn simple training skills that already have made a huge difference in our big girl. I look forward to continuing sessions with Brittany and watching Maggie grow and learn.

First priority is safety for the dog. Before you depart for your adventure I will go over the necessities of care with you, behavioral issues, as well as emergency vet contact information.

Information Brittany D. would like to know about your pet

I will send you a questionnaire before we begin service. It will cover things such as: special medical requirements, behavior problems, equipment you currently use, your training history, your dogs motivations, etc.

A typical day

We will work on a training/behavior plan on our walks or drop in sessions that will be customized to your dogs needs. I am also a huge fan of sniffy walks and will be offering that service as well! I will take your dog to a low traffic area on a long line where they have the freedom to explore and sniff while under full control. Sniffing is so great for decompressing and experiencing the world.
