Serial Cuddler- just like your dog!
Pet care experience
I’ve had various experiences, ranging from house sitting to dog walking (multiple sized dogs) for neighbors and friends on and off for the better part of 12 years. In the last 2 years, however, I have taken petsitting more seriously and do it on a bigger scale through Rover. I am unable to have a dog of my own (landlord restricts dogs), but love my long haired kitty endlessly - petsitting is a happy medium in having a dog without owning a dog! I understand how stressful it can be to leave for a trip - setting up your stay, making sure you have your food together, packing, and, oh no! What about the animals?! With 50 million things to do before you leave (and not to mention the stress of trusting another person with the care of your precious furchild), my goal is to make both you and your pet’s experience as stress-free and comfortable as possible. I am flexible and happy to work with you on any special needs such as dietary/exercise requirements, medical conditions, medication, etc. Please specify your pet’s schedule and any special requirements so I can ensure optimal ability to provide the care your pet(s) need! My work schedule is flexible as I work remotely for my day job. Nights and weekends are free and clear as long as I have my calendar up-to-date with any prior commitments (and I'm very much a homebody, so it's often clear and updated!). I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your furry family member(s)! Please message me if you have additional questions!

I never try to apply a one size fits all service to the animals I care for - everyone's routines and habits are different, so I always ask as many questions possible during a meet and greet so your pets may stay as comfortable as possible while you're away.
Information Brittany C. would like to know about your pet
I cover these questions in the meet and greet, but if you feel the need to address any of these beforehand, let me know! Meet and greets are IMPERATIVE and I will not accept a sit without them. This is for my safety and your benefit - who wants a petsitter their animals despise? There are no breed preferences. Please tell me: -Daily rituals -Dietary restrictions or allergies -Any signs of aggressive behavior in the past - and how to avoid triggers, if applicable - For dogs: How they do on a leash and act towards other dogs (and humans) while on a walk -How they act when unknown humans are in their home - and what has worked to help soothe them -Any imperative medical conditions or medications (plus how to administer) -Potty training level and instructions -For cats: litter box instructions -Any behavioral habits I should be prepared to discipline for
A typical day
We will walk around your neighborhood. The walk would be as close to your typical routine and will be walked twice each day along that route - or however often you need it. If the weather is too cold (or too hot! 100 degree weather is not good for pups!), we will do a shorter one. If you have a gated yard and prefer to have them out in the yard instead of walks, your dog will still go out several times a day for potty breaks, fresh air, and deck time. For cats, I happily try to tucker them out if they're the playful types, or give them a good snuggle and ear scratches if they're the social types. Shy kitties get lured out with treats, though I try to leave them be because I understand how stressed they feel when they need to hide. I love giving treats to cats and giving them a quick brush if they allow it!

Availability
I'm a stay at home remote working cat mom - my day job is incredibly flexible so I can pop out at any time to meet your needs! Sometimes I'll take my laptop with me since I know some pets just want a little more than exercise and lovings - they just want to mutually exist with another human too!
