Pet care experience
Hi there!! Brittany here! l have experience with pets of all kinds throughout my life and have been the proud owner of plenty! I have taken care/helped take care of pets since nearly 4 yrs old. Pets of all kinds have always been a part of my life (dogs, cats, bunnies, ducks, horses, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, etc ) I am also that person who takes care of strays when fate crosses our paths. I have had the absolute pleasure of taking care of family and friend's dogs, while they are away on vacations, hospitalized, working, etc. My father had a beagle, named George, sadly George was extremely epileptic, and would have seizures, and needed medication administered to him multiple times a day to live a normal life. So, with that being said, I have lots of experience with dogs that have health issues, and needed medication to live, also given meds PRN (as needed) if they ever have hiccups along the way and a vet wants them on something for a little while. I love getting out and playing with my own dog and taking her for walks and playing fetch with her. She quite literally goes EVERYWHERE with me within reason, of course. She is not just a dog, she is a member of this family, and your dogs will be treated as such, too! I live close to dog parks and live in the friendliest little neighborhood with the sweetest neighbors. We like to take care of one another here, so your dog will be in good company, even out of the town for walks. My vehicle is definitely "dog friendly" so if you request it, and its works into the schedule (my children's included) and weather permitting, I don't mind driving your precious pup to the dog park to get in some great socializing and exercise with other dogs. But usually, Piper can make up for the socializing, if not. I have two older children (11 and 9) that ADORE dogs and will give your baby dog great companionship while staying in our home, no matter if that's just during the day or overnight. If that's during the day, mon-fri, my children will be in school, and it will be me and my youngest son (9 months now) keeping each other company. Heath, the man of the house, is an overnight corrections officer, so he will be sleeping during the day, if he worked the night before. Heath is one of piper's favorite doggie beds, he is a big teddy bear that is quite appealing to the dog as a comfy choice to catch some z's. I love getting out on walks and in nature. I go on walks regularly for some fresh air, and would not mind some new buddies to tag along with me, and my baby son Bowen. Bowen (if he joins and doesn't stay home with dad) will either be in his stroller, or his baby carrier. I love giving out doggie treats as a reward for good behavior! The dogs usually enjoy it too! If you have any specific treats, you allow your dog to receive or not receive, please just let me know, and pack them for your pup. My children and I love picking up new doggie toys for Piper regularly, and she doesn't mind sharing. But if your dog has a favorite toy, please bring it along! Your doggo will be a part of the family, and spoiled with lots of love, and kisses, and hugs, while in my/our company. Safety is number one priority, so I assure you that your doggie will be taken care of. I will send plenty of pictures and videos of your pup, and the awesome memories we're making together. We do have a backyard that is fenced everywhere, except for the little part that connects to the acre woods next door. Piper does pretty well with there not being a fence there anymore, after some training, but you will need to let me know how your dog does off of a leash. If they are prone to running off, then I do not mind leashing them and walking them around the yard. I do plan on getting either a fence or the yard leashes soon, whichever comes first (and I am almost willing to bet that it will be the yard leashes first). Our dog sleeps in the beds with us, and your doggie will be welcomed as well. Piper is allowed on the furniture, and the same rules apply for your doggie! Guests get first pick on the spot of the couch that they choose. Piper is 7 years old; she is easy going, sweet, and never meets a stranger. She gets along just fine with other dogs, and loves her playdates with my mom's dog, Stella. Piper does suffer with anxiety/separation anxiety, so she likes us to be close by. Right now, I am home full time with Bowen, so I will have the flexibility to be extremely attentive to your dog/dogs. When you bring your dog to me/us or I get to come to you to walk them I can assure you that your doggies will receive plenty of personal attention, and lots of play time with us. We also don't mind the chill dogs too that just want to lay around and take up the space. Your dog will be treated the same as Piper, unless you specify otherwise.
