I love pups as much as they love me

Pet care experience

I've owned 3 golden retrievers, 2 cats, and a German Shepard basset hound mix. I've taken care of them, trained, and gave them so much love over the years. My aunt also owns a farm so I've been hanging out with animals as long as I could walk. I'd like nothing more then to work with dogs or other animals and get paid for it. I've always had a strong liking for animals that most people don't have and would do my best to give your pet or pets the comfort, exercise, training, and love that I would if the pup was my own. I use to train my Golden's and have been to many training sessions. In case your dog has any allergies or needs any medicine I can also watch out for them and administer any meds given with detailed instructions of course. I have a history with taking care of animals and have developed true relationships them. I'm respectful, trustworthy, and kind. If you want to meet prior to any job I'm willing.

Brittany did a great job watching my family's two dogs (two husky puppies that have a ton of energy) and my cat! She slept over in our house with the dogs like we asked and accommodate us on a few other requests. The house was spotless when we returned. I would absolutely book her again with confidence.

Unfortunately our experience with Brittany was not a good one. We hired her to house and pet sit. I think her main job requires too much time for her to reliably attend to pets. There were a few issues, but the final straw was she or her boyfriend leaving the front door open and allowing our cat to get outside. Thankfully I have Ring doorbell cam and got a notice of movement, saw the cat and was able to reach a neighbor to get the cat and close our door (open to the street, leaving the home wide open). I went through the security system logs - it track when doors are opened and closed as well if there is motion in the home. Here were the hours: 12/21: (we left the home at 3PM) 6:51PM arrival - 9:50PM departure 12/22: 3:44AM arrival - 9:58AM departure 5:20PM arrival - 5:34PM departure (dogs and cat alone for 7.5 hours then 14 minutes of care) 12/23: 1:17AM arrival - 10:12AM departure 9:25PM arrival - overnight (11 hours alone for the pets) 12/24: 8:35AM departure - 1:41PM arrival (during this time the back door wasn't latched properly and the security system was reporting constant open/close likely do to wind) 2:04PM departure - 10:30PM arrival (8.5 hours no pet care) 12/25: 9:13AM departure - 1:33PM arrival (back door again moving constantly between departure and arrival) 8:14PM arrival - 9:03PM departure 12/26: 1:17AM arrival - 9:15AM departure 4:59PM arrival - 5:25PM departure (after 7:45 hours alone, 25 minutes of care) 12/27: 1:07AM arrival - 7:12AM departure **at 7:11AM i get a notice on my phone from my Ring doorbell cam of movement. Open the app to see my cat on the front porch and Brittany pulling away from the house. Can't reach her by phone and call a neighbor. She comes over and finds the cat on the porch and the front door wide open. When Brittany calls me back she's very apologetic, but I've had enough. Spend $620 in airline fare/change fees and come home ahead of my family a few days early. When I arrive I find the back doors indeed not latched properly and rocking with the breeze, tripping the alarm sensor. Also, we have a wine cellar with a tricky latch - you have to know how to close it properly. The door wasn't latched; we never leave it like that. Nothing appears missing, but I think she or her boyfriend looked over the home. I get it, but unnerving nonetheless. We got one photo the first night, no other images (other Rover sitters have sent daily photos). I leave it to others if you think these hours and visitations are appropriate. Rover reimbursed me for the days I had prepaid but cut short, but I'm out the airline fees. She seems very nice and I think she meant well, but this was a disaster for us.

Brittany, is a true dog lover. She made me feel very comfortable knowing that my puppy was being watched with aTLC.

Britt was fantastic with our old dog, Scrappy, and our new pup Lo. She truly enjoyed being with the dogs, and was attentive to their needs. Any special instructions were always followed, and always cleaned up after them. She especially liked brushing them, which I'm pretty sure they enjoyed too. I would recommend her as a dog-sitter / -walker to anyone.
