I started on Rover in December 2020 as a way to get some furtastic love in my spare time. Now, I've turned it around and focus on pet care full time. Please take some time to read through my profile. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them. Covid-19 Precautions: I received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine 3/21 and stay on top of current booster recommendations. When entering your home for walks or drop in visits, I’ll wear a mask for the entirety of my visit with your pet. If you’re looking to book for house sitting, lets chat and see what makes you the most comfortable! I always do my best to leave your house in better shape than when you left. I request that we do a meet and greet before committing to any bookings, but I am open to virtual meetings! Professional Experience: I’ve been on the platform since December 2020. Since I've been on Rover, I have dedicated my career to animal care. I have left my full time job at a restaurant to jump head first into this industry. I have my own insurance and and bonding. I have an Instagram dedicated to the pets I care for. This account also allows for an additional way for you to follow along with my care of your pet on top of the updates sent through the Rover app! Before the pandemic, I volunteered at a local animal rescue 3 hours a week for almost a year. There I helped with meal time, walks, and baths. They rescue pups of all shapes, sizes, and temperament. I gained a lot of patience while working with nervous dogs who needed time and calming energy to build trust. I have dog sat for friends for up to a week’s time and have found enjoyment in making their pets comfortable while their humans are away. Personal Experience: I have grown up with animals in my life. My family and I have owned large dogs, small dogs, and somewhere in the middle dogs. I also have experience with cats, rodents, fish and even a snake once! Some of the pups in my life have needed a little extra care. I’ve routinely administered intramuscular shots, helped walked family pets through recovery after surgeries, and helped our senior dog in his later years. Cowboy had lost his hearing so we communicated with hand signals and lots of love. He required regular medication to ease some of his discomfort and I assisted him with moving around in the mornings. It was an honor to help him remain comfortable in his later years. Senior dogs have a special place in my heart.
