Professional dog care experience

Pet care experience

For a dog, nothing beats being home and with their best friend - you! But when you have to be apart, I can offer the next best thing - personalized and reliable walking, companionship and care. I have two years of previous professional dog walking and boarding experience, and have cared for puppies, seniors, dogs with special needs and dogs recovering from surgery. It isn't easy to trust someone else with the care of your best friend, but I hope to make that process a bit easier by treating your loved one with patience, affection and respect for their unique personality. For your comfort and peace of mind, regular updates and photos of your pup's smiling face can be expected, and enjoyed. See you soon!

Luke LOVES Brita! It's so noticeable how calm he is when we get back from holidays after he's been with her a few days. This time we think he's actually missing her as when we went to bed our first night back he slept in the guest room doorway, rather than with us as he usually does! Thanks for being so amazing with our Luke despite all the challenges he has!

Brita spent 2 nights in our home with Luke while we were away. This was our first experience with dog-sitting as we've always taken Luke to the boarders; but due to his blindness we've found he's quite unsettled and anxious when we pick him up and it takes him a few days to settle in once back home. Hence, we thought we'd try home sitting. Luke clearly enjoyed Brita's company, sharing his toys with her and chilling with her in the yard and on his walks. Brita shared photos with us and kept us informed as to how things were going. We had a minor incident with our door which she handled very professionally given she couldn't always reach us due to poor cell reception where we were staying. We'll definitely have her back again! Thanks Brita :)

Brita is an excellent dog sitter and owner. She's loved and cared for her own mellow old pooch Chester for years, and has taken care of my labrador Gammon many, many times from when he was a puppy up until 6 years old. She has worked as a professional dog walker and loves spending time with dogs whenever possible, is an excellent trainer, and is very attentive to a dog's personality and needs.

Information Brita A. would like to know about your pet

I do not have any breed preferences, but it would be helpful to know if your dog is currently working on any of the following: separation anxiety, leash aggression, or food protecting tendencies - so that I can be prepared and proactive. I would also like to be as familiar as possible with their regular routine so that I can provide them with the comfort of what they know.

Favourite locations for walks include Gage Park, Bayfront Park, and the Waterfront Trail - as well as the friendly and quiet streets of our dog-friendly neighbourhood.
