I'm Brit (she/her), an independently insured pet sitter and local Tucsonan with over 25 years of experience in the pet care industry as well as volunteering with related organizations (PACC, Handi Dogs, TROT). Yet another perfect experience. This was only a long weekend, but with Brit in charge we made a quick trip confident that our beloved kids would be safe and loved. Brit is an animal-care expert with amazing intuitive feel for what our pets need (a “pet whisperer” we call her). She is also super tech-savvy. During her check-ins each day, she sends multiple photos; often they are cuter than even the ones we take ourselves. And we have become completely hooked on the little videos she sends. As we watch the video each day, we can see not only that the kids are being taken care of properly, but also that they are relaxed and happy to see her and obviously consider her just part of the family. It allows us to travel with a happy heart. We are so grateful to have discovered such a wonderful caretaker.
Brit did a phenomenal job with our 2 kitties! She followed written instructions, provided her own additional enrichment toys (tunnels), and treated our kitties and home as if it were her own. She has excellent communication and leaves detailed notes after each visit that made us feel confident in choosing her to care for our spoiled kitties. You can tell Brit cares and we’re beyond grateful to have found her. We came home 2 happy and calm kitties who never knew we left.
Another great vacation thanks to Brit’s excellent care of my cats. I can’t recommend Brit enough. She is the most thoughtful caring sitter out there. She treats my cats like they were her own.
Brit has taken care of our pets several times now. I am ever more grateful that we discovered rover.com and connected with her. We are frequent travelers but also very devoted to our goofy pets. Finding proper care for them has always been an issue, but now that we know Brit is in charge all worries have vanished. Brit is an animal expert, truly concerned about the physical and mental wellbeing of our kids. She goes above and beyond the strict definition of her duties to make sure that they are happy and feel loved while we are way. She takes care of us as well, by sending us many photos and a summary of each day's visit. Being able to see and catch up with what the critters are doing allows us to relax in the knowledge that they are safe. Best of all, when we return home, the kids are happy to see us of course. But they are also calm and stress-free. It's pretty obvious that they feel like Brit is part of the family, and were unconcerned that we had just stepped out for a bit. I will never again book a vacation before first making sure Brit is available for pet care.

When you contact me for a booking, I will want to know absolutely anything and everything you can tell me about your pet. Health history, personality, likes, dislikes, quirks and concerns are especially important! I will also appreciate information about any house care that will be needed. I will always make sure that all pet related items are perfectly clean the day the booking concludes so you can arrive home to a fresh, clean house.
A typical day
My style of care is informed by the latest scientific findings in canine and feline psychology and will be custom tailored to your pet's personality and needs. I am Fear Free educated and new clients are always surprised just how quickly their shy pets end up playing, letting me pet them and even cuddling. I also have more than a decade of intensive hands-on experience doing everything from puppy training to agility work, but my favorite part of canine care is just a good hearty walk out in nature. My walking gear setup is second to none and I am very familiar with all trails and most neighborhoods in town. My prior experience working at a doggy daycare provided professional training for everything from body language to scuffle intervention and I am Pet CPR Certified through Pet Sitters International. I have worked with all sizes, temperaments and personalities, and know how to "meet them where they're at" to develop a fulfilling friendship with your dog. May through September, dog walks are not available as soon as the temperature is above 90 degrees for one hour or more as it becomes dangerous to walk dogs in such conditions. Please contact me about alternative arrangements to make sure your pup gets the exercise they need even in the heat of summer! We can do toy play, dance parties, trick training or some water aerobics if you have a pool. If you have a snuggly couch potato, we can marathon some nature documentaries while I give them a back massage. If there's a toy or activity they're obsessed with, we'll indulge! I even have some clients who love "Story Time" where I read aloud to them. Whatever works, it is my goal to give your pet the BEST DAY EVER!
