Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Brismar and I moved to NYC 7 years ago to pursue my doctorate in Chemistry. I grew up with dogs and have worked as a volunteer in a shelter back at home (Puerto Rico). I am dog-mom of a 15 year-old Labrador mix named Husky, who is currently back at home (in PR). with my parents. I love spending my free time surrounded by dogs, that is why I decided to joined Rover (around 4 years ago). I am looking forward to play with and take care of your dog (or cat). I will be very attentive and patient with your pet. Regardless of what service you request, I promise a lot of playtime, care and snuggles! They will have a great time!! :)

If you need someone to lovingly look after your dog, I highly recommend Brismar! We needed someone to watch over our furbaby who had just had surgery while we moved, and Brismar was so wonderful. She has great energy and a natural connection to dogs -- she made our pup who was not feeling so great in the "cone of shame" feel comfortable straight away. She asked a lot of questions about her care, and made sure that she and the dog were a good fit in advance which we really appreciated. She also sent adorable photos during the stay, which was a nice touch and fun to see. Our pup was SO happy after their time together! Thanks again Brismar, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Your dog/ cat behaviors and triggers, and favorite snacks. I will also like to know information regarding your pet feeding schedule (amount and times), veterinary info (in case of emergency) and vaccination status (for puppies).
A typical day
I give my 100% when I take care of dogs/ cats, and I like to give individual attention to each pet. Therefore, for day-care services, I only accept one dog at the time. This is to ensure that your fur baby have all my attention and to guarantee the most effective- and best quality service. **Exceptions: If the dogs live in the same house or are friends/ get alone well. I live next to Prospect Park Parade Ground, so most of the walks will be around that area. I can also take your dog for a long walk (45-90 mins) inside Prospect Park (if requested). If parents allow it, I will take dogs the Kensington Dog Run Park. I also provide lots of playtime, belly rubs and snuggles.
