I was raised around many animals as a child and have had a dog in my life since I was 14 years old. I am a former employee of the Murray Calloway County Animal Shelter, and I am currently a volunteer for the Humane Society of Calloway County as well as the Animal Shelter. All of this gives me many years of varied experience and access to many resources. My current pet family of 5 consists of a 16lb 6 year old black cat named Thackery Binx, a 15lb 5 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix named Dixie Lee, 13lb 3 year old Chihuahua/Pom Mix named Ada Mae, 7lb 5 year old black cat named Freya Jane and my littlest man, Rhett Len, is a 5lb 1.5 year old Chihuahua. I am a seasonal employee of TurboTax and I’m elated to have the opportunity to care for the pets in my community and I hope to be able to provide for myself with this job, year round. I live out on 121 South with a small fenced yard but live next door to my parents who have a large yard that is perfect for walks & play time. Though I have never had a large dog I have had experience with Newfoundlands and Labs in my family through the years and would love to spend time with a large breed. There is a pet specific first aid kit in my house that also travels with me on drop in visits and house sitting. I also have experience with giving medication including insulin & vaccines. I am happy to accommodate a free meet & greet at my house for those who need their babies to stay overnight or a meet & great at the park or your home. I am “that crazy dog mom” so I know that’s it difficult to let your dog go anywhere but home. I hope to meet, play & care for your furry babies soon!!
