I love animals and currently volunteer at RAL's spay and neuter clinic every Friday. We handle all types of dogs and cats there and I have had pets since I was a very small child. I love animals and all animals need love and affection. They need a place and a person that they can feel safe with. I am starting school this spring to become a vet technician and will be pet CPR certified shortly. My home is pet friendly. My dog has the entire bottom floor with access to my back yard which is over a half an acre. Our bottom floor is tiled but we have throw rugs and dog beds. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is take care of my animals. Both my cat and my dog have special needs and must be given medication. They both get some type of treat or food and then I give them their medication. After the medication has had time to start working, My puppy (Bristol) and I then go for our morning walk followed by hugs and treats. If I'm working from home I check on her and give her hugs throughout the day and if it's nice out we go for a walk again after lunch time. Dinner is served promptly at 6 p.m. and then she gets her after dinner walk. I usually walk my dog about 2 full blocks in my neighborhood however before her knee injury we would walk a full mile twice a day. I have no restrictions on the care I can provide animals in my care except I am not medically trained yet. We recently lost our other dog to cancer. My husband and I did everything in our power to save him and spent almost $25,000 on treatments from the time he was diagnosed to his passing 10 month later.
