I have always loved animals, so when I turned 18 I started volunteering for a non-kill shelter. Since I was 17, I have fostered 23 dogs. Now at 26 my family and I have 5 of the sweetest rescue dogs! Stay dogs always seem to find me. Maverick (my parents' brown lab) showed up at my gate trying to play with my dogs. As I could not take any more in and no one claimed him, I gave him to my parents. He was heartworm positive from his days on the street. One year later, he is heartworm negative and very happy with his new family! While my career is in medicine, I love taking care of and playing with dogs for fun! I am super picky about who watches my dogs (they are super spoiled and sensitive) , so I will always update and send pictures to ya'll of your sweet babies having a blast playing fetch or relaxing on the couch! Having taken care of all these animals and being in the medical field, taking care of your pup won't be a problem, no matter his or her needs.
