I have loved animals my entire life and recently decided I needed a career change from something that was killing my spirit to something that I am passionate about: animals. I have owned and/or cared for: - dogs of various sizes, breeds, ages and temperaments - cats aged from newborn kittens to seniors that need constant care - “exotic” pets including snakes, geckos, chameleons, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, parrots, finches, canaries, conures, and freshwater fish I have a home in Long Beach with a fenced yard and a dog door so dogs can go out to potty anytime they need to. I have two large breed dogs that are very sociable and welcoming to medium and large sized dogs. They would most likely be good with smaller dogs as well, but I am more concerned about them wanting to play and accidentally hurting a smaller dog with their playful exuberance. I have a larger vehicle that can accommodate 2-3 large dogs should transportation ever be needed. I know the location(s) of any/all emergency vet services nearest to where I will be with pets. I treat my pets (and anyone else’s pets) as family, but will always adhere to the pet parents rules/training if they are different from my own. I am willing to train dogs in any basic commands that are needed. I would prefer dog walking and pet sitting services in the pet parents home to boarding in my own home. I have recently quit a job where I was walking for 10-12 hours per day, 4 days per week for 2 years so I have the stamina and strength to do long walks with dogs multiple times per day.
