My name is Brie and I'm a Chicago resident that is newer to the Rover platform, but not new to loving and caring for dogs & cats! I have a lifetime of experience being around dogs both big & small and I love getting to know each dog individually. As a former office-worker, I understand the complexities of scheduling time to walk or run with your dog while working full time, and I’d love to help you with that! Judgement and guilt free! I specialize in reward-based training techniques and believe in never punishing undesired behavior, but rather rewarding desired behavior. I walk with my dog daily in our beautiful Chicago neighborhoods and hike the suburbs with my dog most every weekend. I've been a dog owner for over 15 years now - first with my small Chihuahua and then with my Great Pyrenees dogs Big Mac & Winnie June. Whether it’s zoomies and long walks outside or cuddling up on the couch for some quiet time, I feel knowledgeable at understanding what a dog is wanting or needing in the moment, and it’s a joy to give that to them. If you’re boarding with me, I have a large fenced (6ft) yard that your dogs will have access to. I work remotely from home and am able to be with your dog full time! I'm not just a dog lover either - I grew up with two cats and I’m convinced that they are friends too :) I'd be honored to take care of any animal you have and provide care that caters to you and your pet’s needs.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Brie, and can’t recommend her enough! She took care of our dog Beef for the day and went above and beyond in every way. Beef had the best time playing and came home utterly happy. Brie was super communicative, constantly sending us adorable photos and updates throughout the day. One of the highlights was the charming Polaroid picture she gave us of Beef playing with his new best friend, Hank. It’s clear that Brie is not only passionate about dogs but also understands how to connect with them and provide a fun, safe environment. We are definitely looking forward to using her services again. If you’re looking for someone reliable and caring to look after your furry friend, Brie is the perfect choice!
Hank had an extended stay with Brie and had a lovely time! He adjusted to their schedule well and fit in great with her pack. I got continual updates and photos. Brie takes excellent care of Hank! She has soothed my anxious dog mom energy and I know he's in great hands every time. She's our go to sitter.

I have a six foot fenced yard that has plenty of space for your dog to run in, plus lots of toys to chew on and treats to consume! If I’m staying with your dog in your home, I will cater to your preferences and the needs of the dog. You can expect walks several times a day, lots of play time and cuddles, plus I’ll utilize opportunities throughout our experience together to continue reward-based teaching and training methods.

A typical day
If it's playtime your pet is needing, I'll throw as many tennis balls as necessary to wear your friend out! If you have a runner in the family, I'll clip him to my belt loop and take him for a run in your neighborhood! If your dog needs some quiet time, I’ll build a blanket fort and get cozy with them!

Availability
We start the day early with any boarding dogs by feeding breakfast meals and enjoying some outside time in the yard. I am available during the day from 10am until 4pm for walks at your home. For longer term needs, I prefer to have your dog in my home overnight. I am happy to accept 1 - 7 day stays for new dogs, or up to two weeks with dogs that I know and have worked together before.
