Pet care experience
I am in the process of becoming a certified dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I've been volunteering with an accredited service dog organization since 2021. I’m involved with puppy raising, puppy sitting, and most recently, I started working in the kennels with the service dogs in training. Prior to 2021, I spent 8 years volunteering as a therapy dog handler and at a local animal shelter. I've even worked with farm animals in different capacities! Not only do I have hands on experience, but I attend webinars and workshops to stay up to date in the field with accredited training professionals. I also teach, research, and publish in the field of animal studies.
Reviews
Joining Rover for the first time I was so nervous, I read through so many profiles and came upon Bridget’s. My little guy loves her, she took such good care of him. He was soo happy and smiling in the beautiful photos and videos shared, as Bridget kept me updated each day. Thanks Bridget!! 💕
Bridget was awesome! Lots of updates, very caring, and wonderful communication. We were so pleased. Highly recommend.
Fantastic! Frequent updates on how our guy was doing, thank you so much.
Amazing experience with Bridget caring for our two dogs on Christmas Day! Very friendly and intelligent. We went to visit family we don’t get to see often knowing our dogs were in the best possible hands. Thank you Bridget! I highly recommend Bridget and her great service and will certainly be booking with her for years to come!

IMPORTANT: Because I volunteer with a vulnerable population, I do not accept raw feed dogs as clients in my home. I will, however, gladly work with raw feed pets in their own home for drop ins or house sitting. All dogs are required to have current DHPP, Rabies & Bordetella vaccines (a signed certificate or receipt from your veterinarian with date is required) for boarding or daycare. For puppies, vaccines must be administrated 10 days prior to your first visit. Open and honest communication is important to me, the success of our relationship, and the health and safety of your beloved animal.
A typical day
I believe pets should be able to maintain their normal routine in the safety and comfort of a home environment to ensure a good quality of life for both humans and animals. A mandatory meet and greet is required for all new clients. Leaving your beloved animal with a stranger can feel overwhelming. My goal is to put your mind at ease with the goal that we build a trusting and lasting relationship. Additional Services (skill development): -Body handling / socialization work -Basics (sit, down, leave it, drop, off, focus, settle, etc.) -Calm crating -Good manners/house manners -Loose-leash walking -Reliable recall **If you are interested in any of the above, please discuss this with me. There is an additional fee**

I currently work in the kennels with the service dogs in training on Monday’s. I can take clients these days but on limited availability. I am also in the final stages of my PhD in animal studies so I make my own schedule as I work to write my dissertation.
