Pet care experience
Hello! I am excited to care for your pets in your home in the St. Charles / St. Louis area. My animal experience includes working in a veterinarian office, pet sitting over the years, and especially fostering. I have fostered hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens for a local rescue. My fostering specialities are mama cats and their kittens as well as bottle feeding kittens and puppies. I am also the primary vaccinator of kittens in the rescue. In addition, I have experience in the care of guinea pigs and other rodents as well as fish. I offer drop-ins, walks, or overnight care in your home for your cats, dogs, fish, and rodents in the St. Charles, MO area. For the benefit of multi-pet homes, my fees are primarily based on my time commitment. Therefore, additional animals incur only a nominal additional fee. I also don’t charge an additional fee for puppies for drop-ins. As a former professional photographer, I love to take photos of your pets. I also pride myself on good communication and will send a detailed rundown and several photos from each visit. If you prefer less communication just say the word and I can condense it to a daily digest. I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes as well as the training and care of puppies and special needs animals. I am not able to service pets who are aggressive to people. So, please take this into consideration and make an honest assessment of your pet. My special needs experience includes oral, ear, and eye medication administration, injections, sub-q fluids, tooth brushing, and bladder expression. Within reason, these services are included in my visits and will not incur an additional fee.
Reviews
Thank-you so very much. Willow looked happy in the pictures. The wedding was amazing. Had to be with all three of my daughters and all four of my grandkids. It was priceless. Hope to see you again.
She is excellent and has great communication! I am so happy my pups have her ❤️
Bridget did a great job house sitting and taking care of our pups! She sent pics every day or two so we could see the pups and she went the extra mile picking up the yard from the dogs, checking the mail and cleaning up some before she left. Thank you and awesome job.
Bridget m is excellent. She did exactly what she said she would I got updates daily and photos. It was a a relief for me while over 1500 miles away I knew that the fur babies would be taken care of. Recommend highly. Will use again. The app and services are easy to set up and use while out of town even with limited cell service.

Boarding - In very special cases I am able to offer care in my home. We have a small, female dog, two cats (sometimes more with fosters,) and a caged guinea pig. Our dog, Ruby (only 8lbs) does best with small breed dogs and puppies because she gets scared. We also have a cat room in our basement which is available as long as we are not fostering very young kittens. If you would like to board your cat in an environment where they can have their own space including cozy beds and cat trees, this could be a great option. Just specify your needs and we can find an arrangement that will provide your animals with the best care possible.
Information Bridget M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know ahead of time any information you can about the temperament of your pets. Of particular importance is how they respond to new people coming into their home, how they react to people, dogs, squirrels, etc on walks, their leash behavior, and any other idiosyncrasies you might deem relevant. I also like to know what commands and words your dogs (or even cats) respond to so I can communicate with them in a way that they understand. I will do my best to stick with the routines your pets are familiar with. So you can let me know their typical schedule, what doors they use to go out and come in, their favorite walk route, or their favorite toys/games as well as your names for those, for example. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and finding a pet care solution that works for your family’s needs. Don’t hesitate to reach out with your situation and we will work to figure out what type of care is best for your pets. Thank you!

Availability
I don’t have a job and my kids are old enough now to be relatively self sufficient. So, I have lots of availability to hang out with and love on your pets. I do, however, have a home, a family, and my own pets. For that reason I will be very clear before scheduling exactly what my availability is while you are away to ensure that our needs align. Drop-Ins and Walks - These are booked in 30 or 60min increments. My fee is the same for a drop-in and a walk. So if you’d like both, that’s fine too. I always stay for the full amount of time and will send you a Rover card every time detailing my visit, mapping our walks, and including several photos of your pets. Distances over 5 miles from New Town will be assessed a $1.30/mi fee per visit. Housesitting - For the comfort of your pets and the peace of mind knowing your home is looked after, housesitting is a great option. While I am housesitting for you I will be in your home for the full overnight. I typically go home or run errands during the early afternoon and dinner time. Unless I communicate it with you ahead of time, I won’t be gone longer than 3-4 hours at a time. I am also happy to help out with the needs of the home such as watering plants, bringing in the mail, taking out the garbage, and turning off and on lights around the home so as not to alert neighbors of your absence. I will always leave your home in the same or better condition than I found it. I don’t drink or smoke and would never have guests in your home unless previously arranged. Distances over 5 miles from New Town will be assessed a $2.60/mi fee per day.
