Although I am new to Rover, I have loved and cared for dogs for years... While growing up on Long Island as a child, I came to love dogs when I was volunteering at a local pet shelter. After volunteering and falling in love with one of the dogs, my family decided to get a dog ourselves. We grew to look at Rudy as a member of our family. We enjoyed taking him for long walks and playing in our yard with him to keep him active. Through the long walks and a robust play time schedule Rudy lived until he was almost 16 years ago. Three years ago we lost Rudy and so I was looking to spend my time caring for other dogs since I cannot own one myself living in NYC in a smaller apartment. I live an extremely active and flexible lifestyle so am available at most points of the day. Given my past experience with my own dog and taking care of family and friends animals, I am extremely protective and under my supervision, your dog would be top priority and in responsible hands.
