I grew up taking care of my own pets from cats, reptiles, birds, fish. At every opportunity in my adult life I have offered to take care of other peoples animals whenever possible, mostly dogs. I have a very loving and supportive household that allows me the time and freedom to dog sit, get active with walking and playing or making house calls if necessary. My three children are 8, 9 and 11. Although I’m still needed at home, my kids are older now and I have more freedom of movement. My children are very good with all kinds of animals. We currently own 12 chickens that they have helped me raise since they were chicks. They are our family members with their own separate chicken coop and run in our backyard safely secured from our big fenced in backyard where dogs have come to stay and have lots of room to run around without access to harming the chickens. Our house is clean but busy and lived in, we welcome pets on all our furniture and on our beds. I have a favorite dog friend that’s a pit bull that always sleeps with my husband and I when she comes to stay for extended periods of time. I am willing to learn anything about your pets and their individual needs. I lead with love, compassion, tolerance, consideration and understanding when it comes to animals, as I do in all other aspects of my life. I’m a stay at home mom who can appreciate this kind of work because spending time and energy with animals fills my buckets and never feels like “work”. Animals are blessings and I’ve always had a deep connection with all animals I encounter. Every pet owner should feel safe and stress free when their beloved pets are in the care of someone else.
