Pet care experience
I've been dog/house sitting since college and enjoy the mini-escapes from day to day. Its fun to get to know new areas in my community and hang out with some new dogs. I will be sure your pup gets out and gets fed on time. I like to let the dogs go for rides (if it isn't too hot). I leave my dogs at home with the family when I housesit but I take my dogs swimming almost daily during the warmer months so most likely I will take your dog on an afternoon adventure with my dogs. As for your house: I will leave your house cleaner then I found it and I won't go through your stuff because I have boundaries. My style with dogs rewarding and loving but stern when it comes to doggie behavior. I constantly talk with my dogs and engage in small spurts of games so they get to have stimulation throughout the day, not just on walks. It would be a joy to have your pup for awhile. Meet my dogs: Annie a petite border collie/lab mix (3 yrs old) and Jackson, an I have no idea mix (14 yrs old). Annie is shy with humans but energetic and playful with other dogs. She is very obedient, cuddly and loves to run and swim. Jackson is an "old man" and likes to police the neighborhood. He is often found sitting outside basking in the sun and guarding the house. Hope to hear from you soon. Kindly, Brianna
Reviews
Brianna is great! Wonderful service, good feedback and check-ins, and easy to work with.
Brianna is wonderful! Our 1 yr old boxer just loves her and her dogs. She jumps out of the car running to them when we drop her off. She brought the our dog to the park and for a playdate so she always comes home exhausted. We are so happy to have found her and will continue to have her care for our dog when away.
I think in Brianna (and her mom Jill) we found our best dog-boarder so far. Ollie seemed to have really bonded with Brianna, Jill and their dogs, too. Our family truly appreciated all the attention, toys, exercise and games (especially the puzzles and the "text carrier" games) thoughtfully extended to Ollie. We all noticed how healthy and well-behaved he looked when we picked him up! Nice work, Brianna. Thank you!
I have known Brianna for 7 years not only as a friend but as a roommate as well. She has her own dog, Jackson. When we lived together I also had a dog (she passed away). Brianna was one of the few people that I was comfortable with taking care of my dog. I saw how well behaved and loved Jackson was so I knew I could trust her. She is very active with dogs. She loves to take them hiking, swimming or for long walks. She has a natural leader energy that dogs quickly pick-up and respect. Also, she is very patient and tender. Brianna is intensely responsible, respectful and caring for animals and people.

In your home, I will care for your animal by learning their routine and any dangers they face in their environment by asking necessary questions I see on my initial visit. Are they prone to bolting? Do you have a fence? Do they recall when off leash in case they get loose? On our initial visit, I will ask your dog to take command from me and see how they respond. I like to work with dogs who are motivated to learn and are open to forming a relationship. In the past I’ve had some dogs who will not respond to me or my commands which has lead to dangerous situations like them running. It is important that we have a connection with the right sitter so neither of us are in that situation. I often ask to bring my dog, Annie, along. She is an elder in her community. She is very quiet and calm often helping other dogs to be calm. It is often helpful to have Annie around in helping your dog bond and feel like we are a pack which reduces their separation anxieties. I do not offer boarding. In my experience I’ve found it to be stressful for both the animal I’m caring for and myself. It is not fair to ask your animal to adjust to a new environment while having separation anxiety. Nor is it fair to my animals who are feeding off of your animal’s anxiety.

I work freelance so I’m available most days. Most days I take my dog (and sometimes rabbit) with me to my workshop near Gas Works Park. My dog needs swimming therapy and we often go around 3pm in Lake Washington. Your friend can tag along with us on our daily routine.
