Brianna's Woof Care

Pet care experience

**About me** I've been working in Marina del Rey as a personal assistant and am now focusing on writing and acting. I've had dogs all my life, including a black lab/springer spaniel mix (Mika, who guarded me when I was a baby and through my childhood), a cocker spaniel (Peppermint the runt, who is forever puppy-sized with a Napoleon complex), and a purebred springer spaniel (Tasha, the deaf and regal smart aleck). I've also cared for freshwater fish for roughly 13 years, rabbits, hamsters, and mice for about 5 years, studied conures in the hopes of getting one, and observed my grandmother caring for our family parrot (Rita the affectionate biter) and her outdoor cat (Luna). I have spontaneous allergies to some cats. Luckily not Luna. I live with my roommate (Sam), and my boyfriend (Leon). Both love dogs, Leon so much that he cried a tear of joy once when he saw an adorable "doggo" wearing a tie and a hat at a café. If you're comfortable with it, I'd request Leon to be my dog-sitting sidekick. We do most things together, and we're both wonderful with dogs. We're from Ohio and have our dogs staying with our families. He has a cardigan welsh corgi named Jackal. I have a jeep grand cherokee complete with collapsing seats, so it can handle a hefty pup with big paws and long legs in case doggie transport is needed. **About my home/services** My services will vary from person to person, depending on their pet's needs. I'm willing to do most types of location-based care outside my home, as my apartment isn't really dog-friendly. Just let me know what you have in mind, and I'll be happy to meet with you and work out a good plan for you and your pet. **About my neighborhood** I'll likely be caring for your pet near your home, and I like to stick to quieter roads that are near grass and tress, and away from traffic. **What to expect** The perfect afternoon includes a long walk with some encouraging jogging or sprinting, going to the park, playing with favorite toys, maybe practicing a few tricks, playing games like hide and seek, and coming home for couch time (if allowed!) complete with belly rubs and getting scratched behind the ears. **Special rules or requests** Before I care for a dog I like to become friends first. I want to gain their trust and let them know that I'm there for them so that they feel comfortable when we spend time together. This could include going for a walk, playing in the park, and/or using positive reinforcement with their owner present.

Brianna was very helpful while I was away for 9 days out of the country . She was great with Buddy and kept me informed of everything that was going on . I would definitely use her again .

So loving and attentive to pets' needs! Brianna has grown up with dogs her whole life and you can tell by the wonderful way she interacts with them. She's ultra-sensitive to their moods, behaviors and needs -- if they're 'down' she notices right away, carefully investigates the source of the problem, immediately researches a solution and comforts them all the while. If they're feeling their oats, on the other hand, Brianna is always ready to grab their favorite toy(s) and fully engage in an on-the-floor or out-in-the-yard play session (she's not a sit on the couch, throw the toy a few times and lose interest so your pet resignedly gives up - if your dog wants to play for 1/2 an hour, Brianna will gladly do it!) Our dog, Peppermint, especially loves it when they play hide-and-seek together. Brianna is patient in training dogs to do tricks or learn positive behaviors and won't 'over-reward' with treats, but adds a very healthy dose of praise and affection. And she also loves the outdoors (all seasons!) so is always enthusiastic about heading out for short (or long!) walks, whatever your dog is up for. Brianna's a great choice because she lavishes love on your dog like the treasured family member s/he is!

Brianna is kind and gentle and has been part of a pet family for most of her life. She is reliable and will take your pet's needs, feelings and safety into consideration.
