Pet care experience
I was the primary caretaker of my family dog (17 year old beagle/dachshund) since we brought her home when I was 12 years old, up until I moved out of my parents house. I’ve grown up with cats and birds as well, and just love being around animals in general! My experience is mainly personal, however it involves feeding, walking, administering medications, and bathing both cats and dogs. Currently, my husband, toddler and I have a 1 year old mini doxie (Ollie) and a 9 year old long hair cat (Phoebe) in our home. We love the craziness and love that our animals provide our family!

Bri has helped care for our dog Kane on several occasions. He’s a red doberman, with high energy. Bri’s helped us when we’ve traveled or even coming to the house to visit with feeding and walking. She’s great with him and he always gets excited when she comes around!

Our home is not fenced, so our mini doxie gets frequent walks around the neighborhood. Inside our home, our childproof gates also serve as a safe parameter for our young mini doxie, that way he isn’t getting into unsafe areas in our home.

Please let me know if your pet follows any specific routine, has special needs, etc. I have no issue making your pet as comfortable as possible, I'd just like to know ahead of time!
A typical day
Nice long walks are always a must, but also getting your dog outside to play as well if they're able to! Depending on the dogs abilities, I'd love to do fetch with a ball or frisbee, or even playing in the sprinkler or pool! With older or special needs dogs, playing gently indoors is also good, such as (gentle) tug of war or rolling a ball for them to fetch.

Availability
I currently work part time, so I’m available most of the day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (excluding my toddlers lunch/dinner, nap/bedtime); and all day on Saturdays and Sundays! My husband travels for work, so there is a possibility my availability could open up on the weekdays, where I could visit more often during the day. If he were to travel, my son would accompany me (in a back carrier, as to stay away from dogs who may not be child-friendly). My toddler does have experience being around with cats, dachshunds, basset hounds, dobermans, beagles and golden retrievers!
