I have been around dogs all my life, and I currently own a goofy mixed breed. Along with caring for my own dogs, I've spent over 300 hours volunteering at animal shelters to help walk dogs, clean kennels, and facilitate doggy playgroups. Working with such a wide variety of dogs has given me a greater understanding of dog behavior. It's also allowed me to become comfortable working with everything from undersocialized pups who nip in fear to large, energetic dogs rushing to get outside. Along with volunteering at shelters, I've also fostered a few dogs and watched friends' pets. I've also attended numerous dog training seminars and webinars, and am comfortable working on training plans. I truly believe that dogs are part of a family, and I realize that choosing to leave them in the hands of someone else can be a difficult decision. I promise to treat your dog with respect and care. I am happy to meet you and your dog beforehand to make sure it is a good match for all parties. I have a flexible schedule, am available on short notice, and will provide excellent communication, including updates about your pup!
