An RVT with sport dog experience
Pet care experience
I'm currently an RVT working in a large animal ICU unit. However, I have been working with sport dogs for the past four years and that is where my true passions lie. I compete in a variety of sports with my Border Collies but started off competing with rescue bull breeds. I have experience pet sitting and working with with a variety of breeds, including high drive working bred dogs. Before I became an RVT, I worked for a boarding kennel, caring for between 40 and 125 dogs (plus a few cats) at any given time.

Briana is an amazing pet sitter. She has taken care of my dogs for several years. I think the dogs are kind of upset when we come back because she is way more fun than us. Some of my dogs have special medical needs and over the top personalities, neither of which is a problem for her. I highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs!

I have a fully fenced in yard with a 6ft privacy fence. I currently have two Border Collies and a bull breed mix. Both BCs are extremely dog neutral and get along with basically anyone. The bully is more picky with her friends but is generally fine. We are also fully capable of handling a crate and rotate system if necessary, and did for a number of years. All dogs (except for my oldest BC) are crated when we are gone just for everyone's safety. I have a variety of crates available, such as wire, RTKs, and Impacts. I prefer off-site pick up and drop off for boarding for the protection of my family and my dogs so I have a transport van that is equipped with fully crash tested custom KBC kennels. I also currently have an intact female competition dog and have a plethora of experience with intact dogs, both male and female.

My preference is for dog neutral or dog friendly dogs but I do have experience with dog aggressive dogs and can crate and rotate everyone for a short period of time if needed.
A typical day
A typical day for my dogs includes a lot of exercise, both mental and physical. My Border Collies are both sport dogs so we condition almost every day. However, we also love hiking and kayaking. We live close to a few state parks and frequently hike trails at all of them. We also love going for walks around towns and cities and going to dog friendly restaurants.

I currently work full time, but I work overnights. My husband works day shift so since our schedules alternate, our dogs are out basically all of the time. On the weekends, if we aren't at dock diving lessons or competing, we're usually going on some sort of dog friendly adventure.
