I've been taking care of dogs since I was in junior high and I've always adored animals and pets of all kinds. In high school I worked at a veterinary hospital where I was responsible for boarding and daycare pets, as well as overnight hospital boards. I was responsible for the daily care of boarding dogs and cats including keeping track of feeding, walking/play groups, and medication schedules for upwards of 20 animals at a time. I have experience managing multiple dogs at once in a yard and keeping dogs of all sizes and personalities safe and comfortable, especially in an unfamiliar environment. I also have experience administering medications and preparing special diets for high-assistance and elderly dogs, including my grandmothers dog Peaches. I went to a pet-friendly college and many of my friends owned dogs that I helped care for when class/lab/club schedules became overwhelming. It takes a village to raise a child, and since our dogs are like our children, I would love to be a part of your village!
