Family & friends know me as the dog lady. I’m frequently the one that’s called when someone needs sitter. I’ve always had the privelage of being a dog-owner (and the occasional cat, though not currently). Dogs are and always will be a huge part of my life. There is something special and pure about them that is beautiful. They also have a tendency to find me. On more than one occasion I have rescued a dog and found them a loving home. Though sometimes I get myself into trouble when I come home and ask “Honey can we keep him?”. Why Rover? I’ve utilized Rover for years now as a pet owner and it’s always a little nerve-racking finding a new sitter/walker. So I thought it would be great to give owners and their doggies the same treatment & respect I would want my dog to receive when I’m away. Currently I only have one Dog, my middle-aged Labrador Roscoe. He’s used to having friends and brothers to run around with, but we haven’t yet stumbled upon a rescue to add to our pack, so dog-sitting is a great way to keep him engaged too! Care Experience I’ve owned a dog my entire life, and have been the designated pet sitter for my family & friends for years. Every dog, regardless of their quirks can be accomodated. Special needs? No problem. Medication adminsitration? Absolutely. We’ve been through it all from doggo allergies to major puppy surgeries that required months of recovery and therapy, so it is likely I can accommodate any special needs your dog has. Message me the details and I will let you know my comfort and skill level specific to your situation. Availability My calendar shows my availability on days when I’m not working at my full-time gig. I am a critical care nurse (so yes I care for people too!), so I tend to work 3-4 days per week.
