Lucy is our first dog, a sheepadoodle whom we've had since January 2021, but we read the books and put the time in with her. Love is the most important factor in dog care, and we have that in spades in our household. Our kids are very good with, and actively involved in Lucy's care. My wife and I both work from home, and an au pair lives with us, so an adult is almost always around. There is a large fenced-in yard to play in and we take our dog on two long walks per day. If we had to run out we could leave the dog in our fenced-in yard, or contained to the basement inside, or in a cage, at the owner's preference. We tend to be very flexible and easy going. Our sheepadoodle Lucy prefers to be left outside, weather permitting, and loves to play with other dogs. We both work from home so there is almost always at least one person home. We try to take walks twice per day with the dogs to ensure they get plenty of exercise. We have a large fenced-in yard which allows for plenty of playtime and things to explore. Our dog is crate trained, so we're happy to keep yours crated if you wish.
