Pet care experience
I work full time in politics, but I find dogs to be a great escape from DC's daily drama. While I do not have a dog of my own yet (waiting a little longer), I have fostered over 42 dogs in DC and have experienced a full range of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I love running and playing with active dogs and am happy to lounge with and keep less active dogs company. I have experience with crate training, potty training and general training. I live close to Logan Circle and the Shaw Dog Park, but for dogs that are active I like to go to Meridian Hill Park and Rock Creek Park. I'm a bit of a helicopter parent, which I think is a good thing when it comes to keeping dogs safe and happy in the city.

Information Brian R. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know as much as possible about your dog so that I can take care of their specific needs: normal schedule (food/drink/walk/sleep), where they sleep, things that bother them (skateboards, fire trucks), things they love (squirrels, tennis balls), any medical history if necessary. I tend to prefer larger dogs, but I don't discriminate.
A typical day
I love to take dogs for walks around Meridian Hill Park or in Rock Creek Park. Rock Creek provides for some moderate urban hiking. If your dog enjoys dog parks I live only a few blocks from the Shaw Dog Park and can take them there with your permission. I have a long hallway (by city standards) and like to play fetch down the hall if the weather isn't good outside.
