The past four years I have taught in elementary schools. Many of my classroom management skills are applicable to caring for dogs. My main focus is caring for dogs as if they were my own. Every dog is unique and has different needs. My responsibility is to change my tactics and approach to accommodate the dog. I follow Zak George's training methods of positive reinforcement. Each dog is different and we should understand their personality to get desired behavior instead of demanding obedience. Especially while walking dogs, I will find a way to keep their attention on me instead of yanking on their collar to make sure they stay close and safe. My goal is to keep your dog happy and safe by quickly building a relationship of trust.
