I’ve been around dogs/cats my entire life through owning my own or friends and relatives owning pets. I rescued week old kittens from my backyard when I was about 10 years old and raised them personally, my family rescued a border collie when I was about 13 that I trained and cared for, and I rescued another kitten a few years ago that I had to treat for illnesses and care for because it was separated from its mother prematurely. Along with my personal experience I have helped friends and relatives with many different types of dogs (pit/hound mix, retriever, spaniel, yorkie, pekingese, poodle mix, and many others) by walking them, feeding/caring for them, and just all around playing with them. I love being around animals of all types and sizes which I think that shows and I can care for just about any kind as well.
