Pet care experience
Park Slope Brooklyn located minutes from Prospect park. I love dogs. People are pretty ok sometimes, even quite lovable on occasion. ---About our home--- My partner and I are married and live with Doc, a naturally gentle and carefully trained rescue. Doc is 5 and we've been training him for all 5 of those years. Guests are invited to play can can be kept in separate areas or rooms if requested. Please see below for dog amenities. ---About me--- I'm originally from suburban Ohio, and hold my midwestern-ness dear. I've lived in NYC for 8 years now. I'm a work at home engineer, researcher, and father, who spends copious amounts of time at the local dog parks and central park. My partner works at Weill Cornell and wants to play with your dog too! ---Services--- I offer all manner of standard pet services, including boarding, walking, drop-ins, overnights, and skilled extras like focused training sessions. --Bespoke training available-- Positive reinforcement clicker training preferred, but can adapt to any method. Everything from socialization, leash manners, and recall, to fun tricks like high five and speak. ---Dog Amenities--- -Crate suitable for a 60 lb dog or dividable for two smaller pups. -Large dog safe penned in area suitable for play and uncrated sleep. -Dog beds, blankets, pillows, soft toys, chew toys, hoops, ropes, obstacle courses, infinite cuddles, treats, and everything else found in doggie heaven. -Private room (away from other dogs and tailored to your pet's needs) available upon request. I ask that all client's pets be vacinnated, socialized, and house trained, unless specific arrangements and/or services are requested.
Reviews
Brian was very thoughtful about getting to know Rey and her routines. We discussed training exercises that they could work on while I was gone. Took great photos too.
Brian took care of my pug Mia and did a great job. I got lots of pictures throughout my trip and Brian stayed in constant communication.
Brian took wonderful care of my 3-year-old lab Birdie for 4 nights. Before booking, we first met for a meet and greet (along with his dog, Doc), and Brain was prepared with considerate questions about how to take good care of her and took notes. After seeing that the dogs got along well, we agreed to book. While Birdie stayed with Brian, he sent me several photos everyday. I was happy to see that he was taking her on walks and to play in the dog park (which we agreed was okay), and Birdie was smiling in the photos. Brian has a dog friendly apt, and Birdie fell in love with his couch. When it came time to pick her up, I joked that I hoped Birdie would want to come back home with me.
Brian is delightful. He’s affectionate and warm with our dog while reliable and flexible for us. We couldn’t recommend him more highly. His own dog Doc is also areal treat to have around if yours plays well with others.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a space that's on the larger side, so the you pet can have his or her own fenced off area if needed. I have a dog myself so I have all the supples needed to care for a dog.
Information Brian L. would like to know about your pet
For everyone's safety and comfort, I'd like to learn about your dog! If we book, please make sure the following is to to date in your profile: -Vet information (name, number) -Preferred way to be contacted during the stay -Key health information (medicine, any conditions?) What is their food and bathroom routine? Special dietary requests? What motivates them (favorite treat, walk, petting, praise...)? What games do they like? How much exercise do they need? Any other special requests? I don’t have breed preferences. How a dog has been treated and trained is far more important than breed characteristics. Since I live with a dog, I lean heavily towards an initial get-to-know-you between us and our dogs to ensure it’s a good fit.

Not currently taking clients. Normally I am at home 7 days a week and can be very flexible. I tend to take my own dog for walks in the morning and to the dog beach or dog park in the afternoon. I also do off leash in Prospect Park on the weekends and some weekdays.
