My wife and I have had cats for the last 12 years, and we love them! Before that, I house/pet sat for friends in Arlington, VA before we moved to Oakland Park 7 years ago. We have four cats: Oyster, Skunk, Pedals, and Wookie. Oyster and Skunk are 12 years old; Pedals is 10, and Wookie 6. I grew up on a farm, and have cared for animals my entire life. Our cat Pedals has a heart condition, so I administer two doses of atenolol daily for her via her ears. Each of our cats also has his/her own dietary restrictions (or preferences, as they are cats!), so I'm certainly adept at preparing separate plates with separate meals for each of our furry family members. Also, others have called me the dog/cat/animal whisperer as more often than not, I am greeted by dogs and cats with a wag and impromptu petting session as they know "he's one of us!"
