Brian's Dog Day Afternoon 18yrs Exp

Pet care experience

My rates reflect caring for/walking 1 Dog/cat - 2nd dog/cat (add $4) per option. Overnight rates reflect 12 hr period including Dinner/Walk & Breakfast/Walk *Insured and Bonded *Member: Pet Sitters International For 18 years I have treated all my dogs as if they were my children and I will happily do the same for yours. I have owned VERY Large dogs -- Irish Wolfhound, Labrador, Bouvier Mix, Wolfhound/Weimaraner Mix and as small as a Terrier. I have owned rescues and pure breeds of various temperaments and am very experienced with dogs that are not trusting or are aggressive. I also have extensive experience with post-surgical dogs and their special needs. I am Coyote tested and carry a Whistle and Air Horn and am composed and calm in all situations. That is every important. What You Can Expect From Me: When we first meet I will spend a few minutes with your dog(s) to connect with them, make them feel at ease and to get acquainted with their personality. I am very intuitive and that is helpful in that I have a natural way of relating with animals that helps them to connect with me and feel safe. I will then take thorough notes on your instructions and expectations. When you are away I will text you photos of your pups in action and relay them to you so you will feel close to them and know that they are happy, along with a brief summery of or time together (energy level - stool condition etc.) I am available through text or phone at any time. On walks I have strong leash control and will be alert for any neighborhood ‘trigger-dogs’ you describe as well as any of your dogs personal quirks. They will eat on time, I will keep them engaged (minimizing separation anxiety) and I will always be available if you need to check in. If anything unusual does happen (it hasn't happened yet) I will immediately text/call you or your Vet per your instructions. When you return I will insure it looks like you never left and your pup(s) are beaming with a smile! Personal: I was born in California and raised and schooled in the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa/Irvine area before finishing my schooling at USC. I was raised with animals (cats and a rabbit) but fell in love with dogs many years ago and have had multiple dogs for each of the past 18 years. You will find me to be punctual, considerate, compassionate, trustworthy and respectful of you and your pets. I know choosing who to care for your pets is a big decision. It is for me. But, if you reach out and contact me, I will make it my business to set your mind at ease by becoming THE trusted source for the care of your dogs for now and the foreseeable future. Let’s talk.

Brian was awesome with my puppy he was very friendly and outgoing. What really impressed me was, he took time out of his day to meet my puppy lacy before her first walk with him. He really went out of his way to get to know me and my puppy’s likings. He sent me pictures at the end of her walk and my puppy really seemed to enjoy him !! Thanks Brian

I've always been tentative to book vacations because I don't want to use extended overnight dog boarding, and one of my dogs will pee all over a new apartment so I don't want to subject a sitter to cleaning up multiple times a day. Finding Brian was a game changer -- I booked him for house sitting so my dogs could stay in a familiar environment. Brian sent frequent updates with wonderful pictures, took great care of the doggies, and they were very happy. My house and dogs were in great hands, and I plan to book him again for future vacations. I highly recommend using Brian for any dog walking or sitting needs you have!

Brian is awesome with my big pup! My pup is happy every time Brian comes over, and I trust him to take great care of my boy. Plus, I always get great photos of the fun they have out on their walks.

Information Brian H. would like to know about your pet

I have owned VERY large dogs (Irish Wolfhound) and as small as a Terrier so I accept all breeds. Things I would want to know: General temperament; Their daily routine; If staying overnight - where do THEY want me to sleep and where do they sleep?; Any past trauma to be aware of; Separation Anxiety Issues; Trigger dogs to watch for during walks; Favorite treats-toys-bones; Post Surgical Issues & Oral Medication; For multiple dogs - who is the Alpha.

A typical day

Varied walks to keep the rout interesting. Longer walks to alleviate separation anxiety. Interactive photos sent to you of your dog(s) having fun. Verbal encouragement with treats.
