Let me love your dog! :)
Pet care experience
The first job I ever had in my life was my job as a dog sitter. When I was a teenager, I went around my neighborhood and left my advertisement at every doorstep: "Brian's Dogsitting Service." And I did the full service. I'd walk them, groom them, and ultimately make long lasting relationships with dogs and owners alike. It was so fun and amazing to meet all of those animals! And, as a former dog owner, I know how hard it is to find a good, trustworthy pet-sitter. My own dog passed away a few months ago. He was 17 and it was definitely time, but I am missing the joy of having my best friend. I was talking to some friends of mine over drinks and said, "I feel like I really want a dog. But I know it wouldn't be responsible for me to get an animal right now. It wouldn't be fair to me or the dog." I am planning on going to medical school, so a dog right now would not be the best life decision. It was then they recommended dog-sitting, and I lit up! I remembered how much I loved it growing up and I would be ecstatic to do it again! What sets me apart from other dog walkers and dog sitters is that I am not in it for the money (though the money is a nice perk). I am here because I love dogs and I love people. I love walking with dogs (or running, if they are able), playing with them, relaxing with them, and just letting them know they are the goodest boy/girl!
Reviews
Brian watched my dog on and off for years. He was very professional and courteous. And my pup (Moxie) loved him! He administered her medication, took her on walks, and played with her (if he was in the neighborhood, he would let me know and stop by with treats). I highly recommend working with this genuine young man.
About Brian D.
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I cannot host a pet, but I am happy to stay with your pet for as long as you like! In the past, I've done house-sitting along with pet sitting and make sure everything is the way it was left. I am staying at a client's home, there must be wifi.
Information Brian D. would like to know about your pet
Before I sit a dog, I require a brief background on their behavioral history, if there are any medical issues to be aware of, and (of course) what their favorite toy is! All of this information is necessary to ensure the safety of me, the dog, and others.
A typical day
I personally love walking in scenery. Whether it's parks or trails. I figure if I get bored walking on concrete and along streets, so would a dog! I'll take your furry friend to the park or on a hike. If your furry friend likes to run, we will be running! The sky is the limit.
Services
Brian can watch in your home
Availability
I am currently working remote and with flexible hours, so I can easily make time to watch over a furry friend during the day or at night.
