Pet care experience
**No longer accepting RECURRING weekly walk/drop-in clients as I cannot commit more than a month or two at a time for right now! Thanks for your understanding!** First and foremost, obviously, I love dogs (except I can't let my darling cat, Miss Cleopatra, know that of course...). Cats occupy a very special place in my heart as well, and, while I’ve never owned any other type of animal, I don’t discriminate against small animals, reptiles, birds, or fish either! I am so thrilled to have the means to run what initially began as a passion project/side hobby as a full-time business! I am fully prepared to extend all my love and care to your beloved pets whenever you may need it and have the seasoned experience to troubleshoot nearly any animal-related situation whether it’s something minor like your pet missing you, being wary of newcomers, or even something much larger like a medical emergency. I'm ready to cuddle, talk to, AND run laps with your furry friends and I can promise you they‘ll be treated as if they are my own. I’ve been doing pet care for over 6 years professionally in multiple cities while first getting my Bachelors in Microbiology and now slowly working toward my vet tech licensure. I can genuinely say I enjoy heading out to work every day and it shows in my attention to detail and strong work ethic. I love all animals equally, but I specialize in providing above-and-beyond care and compassion to senior dogs and cats as well as particularly shy dogs and cats. I am not afraid of looking silly if it means putting a client’s pet at ease…in fact that’s probably how I came to be called Dr. Doolittle in my own family, haha! No request is out of the question if it guarantees your pet’s happiness while in my care. I can absolutely assure you I’ve seen it all over my several years in this business! While this may be a fun job, it is still a JOB and I do treat it as such. I strive to be professional, reliable, and communicative through all bookings no matter how short or long the stay.
Reviews
Our cats love Bri and so do we! She takes such good care of them and treats them like her own pets. Even our 14 year old grumpy old lady cat loves her.
Thank you so much, Bri! I came home to a very happy cat! It’s a comfort to know he had some great visits, and please to hear how social he is! Thank you again!
Another set of great visits from Bri, thank you for always being so reliable!
We always enjoy our vacations more knowing Bri is taking care of out pets.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is of the utmost importance to me, and that works both ways— your pet’s safety as well as my own physical safety. I truly strive for your pet to never experience any loneliness or separation anxiety which is why I do try my best to minimize time spent away from them during a house sitting and do not book multiple overnight clients at one time. During drop-in visits and walks, I am always right there supervising (even if you have a fenced backyard for dogs!) to ensure all animals are accounted for and safe. I pride myself on being very observant at any booking I do and I’m especially watchful of any pets that are on medications, young puppies, or seniors.
Information Bri B. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences, and I'm not one to generalize dogs by their breed (i.e.: pit bulls are always mean, etc.) though breed characteristics CAN inform us of certain genetic predispositions. I will accept younger dogs but I do ask that they are already somewhat house-trained, or crate-trained if still working on potty training, before I care for them as I do not consider myself much of a professional dog trainer (and I don’t believe in harsh discipline of animals so this ensures comfort and safety for all involved). It’s very important that you let me know how they react to other dogs and people if I will be walking them at any point. I’d also like to know if your pet has any food allergies or is currently taking any medications. I unfortunately cannot and will not accept dogs that show any type of aggression or have significant behavioral problems.
A typical day
A walk around the neighborhood can be fun but a walk around a large park is even better (plenty of squirrels and kids to pant at and drool over!). I'll sing to your dog and even read stories to your dog...honestly I'm just prepping to be the best future vet medicine practitioner I can possibly be. I can assure you no request is too outlandish when it comes to your fur babies’ well-being while you’re away.

Availability
DROP-INS/DOG WALKS: Currently doing asynchronous, online vet tech courses so I’m available throughout the day for 30 minute or hour long drop-ins and walks. I take drop-in and dog walking clients from 6 am to 10 pm and my daily schedule for that varies. Sometimes I have super packed days (my full capacity right now is about 12-13 visits in a day), other times I have more flexible, open availability. For medication administrations I, of course, adhere to the specific time or timeframe given to me but for other visits that aren’t so time sensitive, due to the nature of my schedule often being a full work day of clients wanting similar times, I will often offer a wider timeframe that I may arrive in based on whatever makes most sense driving-wise on that given day while also keeping everyone’s original time preferences in mind. HOUSE SITTING: I generally leave any overnight house sittings a few times a day to feed my own cat and attend to other walk/drop-in clients but I’m rarely ever away for more than 3-4 hours at a time and would explicitly discuss that with you beforehand if that were the case. During a house sitting, that house is my new home base and I am there in all of my remaining free time for the duration of the booking. All my coursework is online which allows for this flexibility. I do try to schedule my additional drop-ins and walks lighter on days that I house sit although this is not always possible in busier seasons. However, though I do spend a lot of time at any house sitting I do, it is important to note that I am not able to take on constant care house sitting bookings (where the animals cannot be left for 3-4 hour chunks) at this time due to the constantly fluctuating, full-time nature of my day-to-day schedule.
