Dog's Best Friend

Pet care experience

I truly love being around dogs. They have a way of putting a smile on anyone's face. In the future I would love to get a dog of my own, but offering my service to other is the next best thing! I grew up with dogs and have always been around them. They have always been family for me and for so many other dog owners. My family has had all types of dogs, big ones, littles ones and a few in between. They are the most loving and caring animals with such big personalities! I would love to be able to share my service and love for dogs. People have busy schedules and like with children, they sometimes need a sitter or someone to help. I love being that person! For over a year, I have been dog sitting for a single client. Every couple of months, I dog sit for about 4 to 5 days at a time. When it comes to pup sitting, I am active, caring, and have a strong attention to detail. I have always been told I have a big heart. I tend to put others ahead of myself in many situations. I work in a very detailed-oriented industry and like to make sure the little things and details are set. Along with dogs, I have also always grown up with cats. My two roommates both have cats. I have also been a cat sitter for a couple of friends, looking after their cats for a few days at a time. I would be willing to offer care for cats on Rover as well. Cat, just like dogs, have big personalities and are part of the family — I love that about all animals. As for me, I love anything outdoors. I am big into running and do a little hiking in my spare time. I am a very active person — I love to stay busy and be on the go. I would love to take your pup with me on any of these activities!

I highly recommend Bri as a pet sitter or dog walker. Bri has stayed in our home with our cat and dog several times and treats them as if they are her own. Both of our animals are older, and she has been accommodating to all of their needs, including administering medicine. I can tell that they are both happy and calm when we arrive home. She is also great to provide updates and photos.

I have know Brianna for her whole life and 1 thing is for certain.... she LOVES dogs. All animals really. The respect and empathy she has for them is amazing. Brianna treats the dogs she takes care of just like if they were her own children. She always gives 100% when she is taking care of them and is always very gentle with them. You can always tell a lot about someones character by the way they treat animals and this is Brianna and she has wonderful character. If I needed someone to take care of and walk my dog, Brianna would definitely be my girl.

I have known Bri for over 10 years and she has always been an animal lover. She is the first person I call when I need a sitter or walker. When we lived together she was quick to help out with my cat Oscar and she even took him to the vet and animal hospital when I was away and needed a caregiver. I now have a new puppy and she allows offers to come over for a walks or watch my pit mix Sophie when I'm away. She is always the first one to lend a hand with all of my pets. I not only know my babies are in good hands, but I know Bri will give Sophie and Oscar the love and attention that I would!

To me, communication is key to great customer service. Letting clients and potential clients know about my schedule and previous experience are big — along with responding quickly. As far as my canine clients, I make sure I am prepared and updated on everything about them: their basic info, dietary needs, exercise and daily routine. Respecting an animal is very important — the sitter must know how to treat the animal properly. Each animal is different, so it is key to get an itinerary from the owner. A meet and greet is a great way to see if you and the dog will mesh. It can be the little things, like how you approach the dog or the way you carry yourself, that can make all the difference. I do not have a preference on breeds — I have been exposed to so many different types. I would love to get as much information from the client about their dog as possible.

A typical day

I do work a 9 to 5 job but have some flexibility. I am able to walk and play with your pup before work, and depending on the location I am able to spend time with them during my lunch break (and of course, after work). Depending on the location and neighborhood, I would love to play outside, either for a walk or just playing fetch. Spending quality time with your dog is very important to me. Our day-to-day activities will depend on your area/neighborhood and how walkable the different areas are. I always check with the client to see if their pet has any favorite walking routes!
