Pet care experience
When I was seven years old I asked my parents if we could get a dog and the next week my father showed up with a beautiful orange haired chow/husky mix named Blissful… my father said that if I wanted it to stay in our house it would have to be my dog and I would need to care for it. I thought of Blissful not quite as my dog but rather liked to think of him as my friend. Ever since then I have treated all the animals that I have been fortunate enough to know and care for with the respect of a friend, someone close to me. I’ve had the pleasure to work on horse ranches, to house sit and care for the pets of friends and to get to create friendships with my own animal friends over the years.

I am saddened by the loss of my beautiful friend Jaeger, last year, who was the most handsome Belgian Malinois in the world which I had the pleasure of raising from just the age of 3 months. I have been left without the routine that caring for a dog demands, yet have been left missing it. I appreciate equally the needs of an animal to that of myself and strive to make a friendly connection through care.

A typical day
I love playing catch with the higher energy dogs that need a bit more effort put into their physical regiment. I appreciate trying to match the energy of my dogs when I throw a frisbee or ball and try to compete with them on who can get to the ball first. I think engaging activities like tug’o’war and racing is a great way to bond with any animal and I aim to create friendships

I currently work on my own schedule and can take the needed breaks in order to tend to the needs of your important little friends with whichever frequency is needed for yours and their comfort.
