Work from home dog lover!

Pet care experience

Growing up around dogs and having two of my own, I understand the separation anxiety of leaving them at home for long periods or for vacations (been there!). I also understand if you have specific lists of needs as well (been there too!) So I will ensure your doggo is well loved and you get as much contact from me as you need to feel comfortable.

Brett was a fantastic sitter for our pup - we needed help last minute, and Brett worked around our schedule to accommodate. He even agreed to keep Lieutenant Dan an extra (unplanned) night when we had unexpected travel issues arise. Lots of photos and videos were sent while Dan was under Brett’s care, and Dan had lots of playtime and hiking adventures. Grateful for exceptional care, flexibility, and showing our boy a great time!! Thanks, Brett!

A great experience for our puppy’s first stay out of the home! Brett had great communication, sent frequent updates and photos, and I knew Buddy was happy and comfortable.

We were very happy with Brett. He sent us a couple updates each day, with pictures, showing how Penny was doing. That was reassuring.

My Baxter had such a great time with Brett. He learned about doggie doors, romped in the big back yard, and led the way on a run through the nature reserve. It’s easy to see why Brett has so many return visits. I hope we get to be one of those clients.

Safety, trust & environment

I can stay over if your pet likes their home, or I have a fenced yard with a large doggie door for in/out access. I also have a separate doggie couch we can chill on and they are welcome to get on the bed at night (unless you have a no-furniture rule!) I do pick up backyard waste wherever they stay. It's no fun playing in poo...or coming home to a yard full of it! I just had to say goodbye to my beloved chocolate lab/vizsla from cancer who was a tripod, so your doggo would have the run of the house. This also means I can give medication and look after dogs that need extra care.

Information Brett S. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know any anxiety around other animals or people so I can plan their time accordingly. Basically, whatever you want me to know to make their time (as well as yours) as comfortable as possible, let me know. Even if they stay with me, I will abide by your rules for them (no furniture, etc).

A typical day

If your pup likes to relax around the house and spend some leisurely time outside, I am good with that (I'm also content with cuddling). I'm well experienced with all the local greenways/trails and run 5-6 times a week. I also love a good furry hiking partner to enjoy nature with. The only activity I don't do is leave them alone for hours on end. I genuinely love dogs and caring for them. That means I'm not in it to do the bare minimum and collect money. I will also send updates and pictures letting you know your doggo is enjoying themselves so you can worry about other things, like enjoying yourself.

I am currently a grad student, so most of my days are spent at home or being active outside (I like walking, hiking and I run 5-6x/week). This makes my days very flexible with what I can fit into my schedule. I can guarantee they will fit right in. If we book an appointment, that means my time is now theirs!
