3+Acres Fenced in Ardmore Winston!!

Pet care experience

**Please**--Before inquiring please fill out your full pet profile, and also take the time to read my full profile and requirements. It will save everyone a lot of time and grief THANKS!** Welcome to Doggieland! My name is Brett and animals are my passion. My current pack is 4 rescue pups and a cat that thinks he's a dog! After working in the entertainment business as a sound designer for 25 years, I've retired and moved back to Winston Salem where I studied theatre at UNCSA in the 90's. My house, affectionately named Doggieland, sits on almost 5 acres--with 3 acres fully fenced--conveniently located in the Ardmore neighborhood of Winston-Salem. In my past I worked closely with Lab Rescue OK and have rehabilitated, fostered and adopted out over 50+ dogs since 2013. I'm also adept at administering meds, as well as senior care. Whether your pup likes to run and play, or just sniff around and lie in the sun--Doggieland is the place to be! I'm semi-retired and work exclusively from home, so I'm around pretty much 24/7 with an occasional run to the grocery store or other quick errands. The house is equipped with a doggie door and a 19 camera, pro grade surveillance system for monitoring the yard, so during the day the pups go in and out as they wish. The house is plush with doggie beds for lounging around when it is time to rest for a bit. I have crates available for pups that prefer to be crated. Feeding times are 8am and 5pm daily, though I can accommodate special requests. My only requirement is that your pup be cat friendly, as we do have a token cat on the premises who thinks he is a dog, and has pretty much no fear of dogs.

Imo loves Brett and the pack!!! It was so good for him to stay at doggie land and we are forever grateful for Brett to have a safe comfortable place for our pup who has severe separation anxiety.

This place is the real deal. This was my first time using the app. Was nervous about leaving whiskey for a day. Brett sent pics and videos of whiskey playing responded to messages asap. Already book another weekend. The set up is awesome for dogs to run and I felt whiskey was very safe staying with Brett

Appreciated the pics and video. Great outdoor set-up where the dogs can be dogs. I like knowing Luke was with a pack and not sitting alone in someone’s house. Absolutely plan to use Brett again.

Information Brett J. would like to know about your pet

We can have up to 12 dogs here at a time(including my full time), so this place is best for well socialized dogs who like to be in a pack. Pups also need to be cat friendly.

A typical day

Feeding time is 8am, followed by a romp around the property and the all important morning sniffing of every leaf and object in site. Later the Chucker and the tennis balls come out for those inclined to play fetch. In the afternoon everyone usually comes in and conks out for awhile, save for an occasional bark fest when a twig falls out of a tree somewhere out there that demands investigation. Dinner time is 5pm, followed by another romp and more lying around until the final bathroom run about 9 or 10pm. Next day it all happens again!
