Pet care experience
I've had and loved dogs my whole life! My family has always had golden retrievers, but later on rescued a chihuahua and a pitbull who I assisted in caring for with my dad and brother. In a previous relationship, I raised and trained our baby girl from puppyhood, and I currently co-parent a senior dog with my now partner. I've even worked in a vet's office! I have experience with all ages and multiple breeds of dog!

Although I am unable to host large pups in my home (our senior isn't a fan), I am more than able to care for small dogs on occasion in my home in addition to yours. I will keep their routine entirely the same as it is when you're home with them to minimize stress and any separation anxiety. It's very common! I would ask for a general rundown of a typical day for them and try to keep as close to that as possible. Routine is so important for them!

What I would like to know ahead of time is mostly general temperament, their feelings toward other animals, any fears they have that tend to upset them (for example, my dog absolutely hates skateboards!), as well as any other tendencies they have during walks that I should know about (another example, my dog loves walking right in to the middle of the road for some reason!) Favorite treats, and of course, your preferred command words!
A typical day
I have many routes for walks that my dog and I go on around the neighborhood, but we also love to walk the Bayshore Trail over by Google as well as the water near Shoreline! In addition to that, lots of fetch and tug, whichever they prefer!
