I fell in love with dog training after adopting my 5-year-old German Shepherd last year who was a handful to say the least. In that journey I learned how to be a good leader and dog dad to a dog who has been through so much. I have learned a lot of my techniques in dog training on how to get a dog to be nice and behaved on a leash from Robert Cabral and Beckman's Dog training

I have been Brendans partner for over a year now and have been Sammie’s dog mom ever since meeting them, as he adopted her just a month before meeting me. She was a rescue, and a very timid and emotional girl, but I have watched her come out of her shell and build confidence under the guidance of his leadership and love to her…it’s truly heartwarming to have witnessed this sweet girl who is nervous of anything find joy and playfulness again (or maybe for the first time) because of the safety she now feels from her leader.

When it comes to dog walking it is very important for the handler to be alert and assertive in case the dog is reactive to a change in the environment.

It's important to know if your dog is reactive to other dogs/animals, cars, etc... it's also important to know if he has a lot of pent up energy he needs to burn. That way we can tune our walk and activities.
A typical day
Honestly most dogs will find training to be fun and rewarding. We will do things like shake, sit, stand, and lay down, and of course how to heel nicely. If the dog is friendly and well socialized then perhaps we will go to the dog park.

I am new to the area, transitioning careers, and would like to do something aside from studiying in my free time. Due to this I have a very flexible schedule and I'm sure we can work something out.
