Pet care experience
Dogs of all kinds have always been a huge part of my life growing up. I’ve had seven dogs of my own in my family ranging from Charlie a big, vocal and hyper white lab to Belle, a 17 year old sweet and calm chihuahua. I have potty trained just about all my dogs, frequently give them baths, and am usually the one to attend to their special needs like medication and vet checkups. I have watched other dogs too ranging from quick home checkups to staying overnight for a couple of weeks for dogs that demanded lots of attention. I’m proud to say that most dogs love me and that I happen to be my dogs’ favorite person in the house :)

Brei is so great and loving with my now one dog. I’ve been using her for years and all three of my dogs adored her. Always so helpful, went above and beyond in her services, and I know my home won’t be disrespected when she’s here alone. I hope she comes back to the DFW area again!

I’ve become well versed in understanding a dog’s body language and behavior and adjusting my actions based on their needs. I’m always willing to play with dogs when they want to have fun, give them pets when they want comfort, and even respect their space when they need it. The dogs I’ve worked with are primarily indoor dogs but I still make sure to give them plenty of outside time in the yard and frequent walks when the weather allows it.

I like to know the personality of a dog before spending time with them one on one. I like to give the dog the kind of attention they prefer and it helps to know what their usual happy and comfortable behavior is like. My goal is to be their favorite person to see! Well, except after their owner of course ;)
A typical day
The dogs I’ve cared for have a variety of different needs and preferences based on the personality of the dog. Depending on a dog’s preferences we’ll go on long walks, play fetch with their favorite toys, stop by Starbucks for a pup cup, but most of the dogs I’ve cared for love sitting on my lap and getting pet most of all. Usually I’ll take the dogs out for a walk or have some high energy playtime, reward them with a treat, and chill out and give them pets until they fall asleep.

Availability
I’m currently a college student and heavily involved in my service and spirit organization so my hours are a little random. I am essentially free Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, Mondays before 5, and Thursdays after 4. I currently down have any pets that are solely my own so I love any time I get to spend with animals.
