I started dog-sitting when I moved to LA and, for several years, didn’t have a dog of my own. Every opportunity to care for a friend’s pup became a gift. I grew up in Ireland, and my family always had dogs--Greyhounds, an Irish Setter, a Jack Russell, a Boxer, and several mixed breeds. Their energy and playfulness nourishes my soul, and the love and understanding I have for dogs are more profound than words can express. My partner Mike and I both work from home, and we have a lovely pooch, Moses. In addition to spending time with Mo, I love to stay active via CrossFit, yoga, and spinning. We go for long walks around the neighborhood, play in the backyard, and enjoy private concerts that Mike puts on for us (he’s a musician). One of us is always around for snuggles, treats, and affectionate care. As a sitter, I make the same daily commitment to each dog that I make to my own: They get my love, attention, and support as long and as often as they need it. I communicate with them by listening to their body language and anticipating their needs, and I’m available at any time and for any reason. I keep them safe physically, mentally, and emotionally. For the owners, I send regular updates with photos and more, and I follow your instructions with great care. You will always get honest communication, not to mention reliable and responsible guardianship of your loved one. My home has a large backyard, with a secure, six-foot fence. There is also a separate front yard with a four-foot fence, so if Mo and your pet ever want separate outdoor playspace, we can easily accommodate them. Indoors, we have room to play and cozy spaces for cuddles and naps. I’m located in West Adams, seven minutes from downtown Culver City. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and dog-friendly. We’re in the perfect position right now to welcome canine guests into our home. It’s a wonderful way to provide mutual support to our community, make new friends, and enrich Mo’s playtime and social connections. I love all animals, and we’re hoping to adopt another dog soon!
