I fostered several dogs and kittens while living in Atlanta, Georgia for graduate school with needs involving both general and specialized medical care. My fosters ranged from small to large breed at ages ranging from 8 weeks to approximately 10 years of age. My husband and I are paw-rents to a 2.5 year old beagle mix and a two one-year old kittens. Two of my fur babies have had experiences needing ear drops and regular cleanings, and my pup has had tummy issues that required additional care. They are both doing fantastic now and are happy, healthy, and well trained! Our pup loves to make new friends and would love to socialize with your pup if needed! I am a full-time doctoral student at the University of Iowa College of Public Health and am working from home. This makes my schedule incredibly flexible and open to help out with your fur babies! My priority is to seamlessly integrate pet care into my routine as a student and pet parent. I have three repeat clients with weekly bookings, and am always open to new bookings! During the winter, I am often less available on the weekends due to a part-time job that takes me out of town most weekends. My weekday availability is perfect for quick drop-ins and walks, so feel free to shoot me a message with any inquiries about this! I always ensure to get needed information prior to entering a client's home (pet behavior around less familiar people, other pets, door codes, things to consider). When I arrive, I take pets outside for a bathroom break immediately and usually take them on a short walk (if the owner has indicated that they go on walks). From there, I usually check for any accidents in the home (especially for puppies!) and make sure that I've taken care of any requests by my clients. I am able to provide detailed care and basic training as needed. I am a very detail-oriented person and will ensure that your pet is enjoying their puppy/kitten-sitter! My ultimate goal is to make your pets feel like you never left when I am doing drop-ins and house sitting. I pride myself in gathering a high level of detail so your pets are given the best care possible.
